Job summary

PwC Bengaluru seeks a Manager-level data analytics engineer to design and build data infrastructure and pipelines for client projects. You will enable actionable insights by transforming raw data into usable analytics and drive business outcomes.

You will code in Python, PySpark and SQL, work with Databricks on AWS/Azure, and contribute to lakehouse architectures with governance and scalable data solutions.

Qualifications

• 7-12 years of experience in data engineering and analytics.
• Strong coding skills in Python, PySpark and SQL.
• Hands-on experience with Databricks and cloud platforms (AWS/Azure).
• Experience building ETL/ELT pipelines and Lakehouse architectures.
• Knowledge of Delta Lake, Unity Catalog, and Delta Live Tables.

Responsibilities

• Design and build data infrastructure and data pipelines.
• Develop and implement data integration and transformation solutions.
• Collaborate with clients to enable data-driven decision making.
• Tune Spark performance and ensure scalable data solutions on cloud platforms.
• Work with governance and security practices across data environments.

• Strong hands-on experience in Databricks
• Strong coding skills in Python, PySpark, and SQL
• Experience building ETL/ELT pipelines
• Hands-on experience with Delta Lake
• Experience with Unity Catalog, Delta Live Tables (DLT) , Auto Loader, Databricks Workflows / Lakeflow
• Knowledge of Structured Streaming
• Good understanding of Lakehouse architecture
• Experience on AWS / Azure
• Strong experience in Spark performance tuning / optimization
• Good communication skills

Mandatory skill sets

• Strong coding skills in Python, PySpark, and SQL
• Experience on AWS / Azure

Preferred skill sets

• Experience with Photon
• Exposure to Databricks SQL
• Exposure to MLflow / Databricks ML
• Experience with CI/CD, Git
• Knowledge of Airflow / ADF / other orchestration tools
• Databricks certification is a plus
• Domain experience in healthcare is preferred
