Job summary

PwC in India is seeking a senior Manager-level data science professional to lead advanced ML and analytics initiatives within healthcare. You will translate complex problems into scalable data solutions, model development, and analytics delivery to improve client outcomes.

You will mentor a growing data science team, collaborate with global stakeholders to shape product and business strategy, and establish best practices for modeling, experimentation, and deployment to production environments.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience in data science or a related quantitative field.
• Solid grounding in statistical modeling, machine learning, and complex problem-solving techniques.
• Expertise with modern ML methods, including transformers, deep learning architectures and graph-based ML.
• Familiarity with causal inference and decision-focused modeling is a plus.
• Experience deploying models into production environments.
• Healthcare domain knowledge, particularly healthcare revenue cycle, is preferred.

• Proven experience handling large, high-dimensional datasets and delivering clear, actionable insights.
• Expertise with modern ML methods, including:
  • Transformers (e.g., NLP and representation learning)
  • Deep learning frameworks and architectures
  • Graph-based machine learning (such as Graph Neural Networks)
• Familiarity with causal inference and decision-focused modeling is a plus.
• Comfortable tackling ambiguous problems and pursuing impactful outcomes independently.
• Excellent collaboration and communication skills for engaging with a range of stakeholders.
• Experience deploying models into production environments.
• Prior experience or domain knowledge in healthcare, particularly healthcare revenue cycle, is preferred.
