Job summary

PwC in Bengaluru seeks a seasoned SAP Director to lead large SAP transformation programs across multi-country deployments. You will own end-to-end delivery, define roadmaps, and guide multi-disciplinary teams including PwC staff, client resources, and vendors.

You will advise clients on SAP strategy, operating models, and benefits realization while maintaining governance, managing risks, budgets, and timelines. Strong S/4HANA experience and PMO leadership are essential.

Qualifications

• 10-15+ years of experience in SAP consulting or industry.
• Proven track record in leading large SAP implementations or transformations (S/4HANA).
• Extensive program and portfolio management, including PMO leadership.
• Strong SAP landscape knowledge (ECC/S/4HANA, cloud, data migration).
• Experience in at least one major industry.

We are looking for a seasoned SAP Director

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end delivery of large SAP transformation programs (often multi‑year, multi‑country).

• • Define program structure, implementation roadmap, and delivery approach (e.g., waterfall, agile, hybrid).
• • Establish and run program governance: steering committees, PMO, workstream coordination, status reporting.
• • Manage scope, timeline, budget, and benefits realization; lead issue and risk management.
• • Ensure integration of functional, technical, data, and change management workstreams.
• • Build and maintain executive-level relationships (CIO, CFO, COO, program sponsors).
• • Advise clients on SAP strategy, business case, operating model, and transformation roadmap.
• • Act as trusted advisor on program risks, trade-offs, and decision‑making.
• • Facilitate executive workshops and program planning sessions.
• • Lead cross-functional teams including PwC staff, client resources, and third‑party vendors.
• • Mentor and develop managers and senior managers within the SAP practice.
• • Support resource planning, staffing, and leadership development for the program and practice.
• • Ensure adherence to PwC’s delivery methodologies, quality standards, and risk management frameworks.
• • Set up and monitor program controls, KPIs, and assurance activities.
• • Manage compliance (e.g., regulatory, data protection) relevant to the client and industry.
• • Escalate and resolve critical issues in coordination with PwC leadership and client executives.

Mandatory skill sets:

Typically 10–15+ years of experience in consulting or industry, with a strong focus on SAP programs.

• Proven track record in leading large SAP implementations or transformations (preferably S/4HANA) as overall program or delivery lead.

• Extensive experience in program and portfolio management, including PMO leadership.

• Strong understanding of SAP landscapes (ECC/S/4HANA, cloud solutions, integrations, data migration).

• Experience in at least one major industry (e.g., manufacturing, consumer goods, energy, financial services, public sector).

Preferred skill sets**

• Bachelor’s degree in business, engineering, computer science, or related field; Master’s degree often preferred.
