Job summary

PwC India is seeking an Associate-level SAP Databricks specialist in Gurugram to join our Advisory practice. You will design and optimize data pipelines, enabling SAP-based analytics and cloud deployments for clients.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to productionize ML models, manage ETL processes, and ensure data governance. 1–3 years of relevant experience and strong technical skills are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor of Technology or equivalent required; MBA/MCA/MTECH considered.
• Experience with SAP EPM and SAP Analytics Cloud (SAC) preferred.
• Hands-on with Databricks platform and cloud data pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and optimize data pipelines using PySpark, Spark SQL, and Delta Lake.
• Collaborate with data scientists to productionize ML models and analytics dashboards.
• Lead ETL development and ensure data governance and security on cloud platforms.
• Implement CI/CD and version control with Databricks Repos/Workflows.
• Provide training and mentoring to junior team members.

Responsibilities:

A typical Databricks Developer / Lead Job Description (JD) centers on designing, building, and optimizing scalable data pipelines, ETL processes, and big data solutions using Apache Spark and the Databricks Data + AI Platform.

• Data Pipeline Development: Design, build, and maintain robust batch and streaming ETL data pipelines using PySpark, Spark SQL, and Delta Lake.
• Platform Optimization: Optimize Spark jobs, cluster configurations, and queries for maximum performance and cost efficiency on cloud environments (AWS, Azure, or GCP).
• Data Governance & Security: Implement access controls, data lineage, and governance models utilizing Unity Catalog.
• Collaboration & Integration: Work alongside data scientists, machine learning engineers, and analysts to productionize ML models (using MLflow) and analytics dashboards.
• CI/CD & Deployment: Automate deployment workflows and manage code version control (Git) integrated with Databricks Repos and Workflows.
