Fellows spend their first 6 months in India working alongside WAIG’s leadership, shaping growth and strategy initiatives.

Responsibilities

Growth & Market Expansion

  • Support go-to-market strategies in priority geographies.
  • Map, engage, and onboard new partners across governments, multilaterals, and NGOs.
  • Draft proposals, contribute to RFP responses, and build investment cases.

Strategic Communication & Thought Leadership

  • Co-develop thought leadership pieces (articles, reports, op-eds), positioning WAIG as a global voice in AI for social impact.
  • Work closely with the CEO on high-stakes communications, strategy decks, speeches, and donor briefs.
  • Represent WAIG in select events, contributing to both logistics coordination and external representation.

Campaigns & Knowledge Platforms

  • Lead end-to-end initiatives that resemble marketing campaigns but are rooted in the social impact context.
  • Coordinate rollouts of AI solution pilots.
  • Awareness-building efforts with governments and global agencies.
  • Knowledge-sharing campaigns for the Global South.
  • Drive creative packaging of WAIG’s impact stories for global stakeholders.

Cross-Cutting Strategic Projects

  • Take ownership of CEO-led special projects, spanning partnerships, country strategies, and global alliances.
  • Ensure cross-functional coordination across technical, policy, and communications teams.
  • Contribute to institutionalizing data-driven tracking of pipeline, partnerships, and impact.
Skillset
  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Business, Development Studies, Public Policy, Economics, or related fields.
  • 2–5 years of experience in consulting, strategy, business development, or program management.
  • Familiarity with technology or AI-enabled product ecosystems, ideally in donor-funded/social sector contexts.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong stakeholder management, analytical, and problem-solving capabilities.
  • Entrepreneurial, agile mindset with a deep interest in impact-driven ventures.
  • Comfort working in fast-paced, global, multi-stakeholder environments.
