ADSIPL - Maharashtra is seeking a detail-oriented Rack Lifecycle Tech to join the AWS infrastructure operations team. You will install racks, perform structured cabling, and decommission equipment according to SOPs, while maintaining accurate documentation and handoffs to Data Center Operations.
You will work hands-on in a data center environment, follow safety EHS policies, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure capacity and cost efficiency for AWS customers.
AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. In other words, we’re the people who keep the cloud running. We support all AWS data centers and all of the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensure our customers have continual access to the innovation they rely on. We work on the most challenging problems, with thousands of variables impacting the supply chain — and we’re looking for talented people who want to help.

We support all AWS data centers and all of the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensure our customers have continual access to the innovation they rely on. We work on the most challenging problems, with thousands of variables impacting the supply chain — and we’re looking for talented people who want to help. You’ll join a diverse team of software, hardware, and network engineers, supply chain specialists, security experts, operations managers, and other vital roles. You’ll collaborate with people across AWS to help us deliver the highest standards for safety and security while providing seemingly infinite capacity at the lowest possible cost for our customers. And you’ll experience an inclusive culture that welcomes bold ideas and empowers you to own them to completion.
We are looking for a detail-oriented, technically skilled Rack Lifecycle Tech to join our Rack Lifecycle Team within AWS Infrastructure Operations. In this individual contributor role, you will be a hands‑on executor responsible for the physical installation, cabling, handoff, and decommissioning of racks across your assigned data center site. You are the person on the floor who turns capacity plans into operational reality. As a Rack Lifecycle Tech, you will execute structured cabling, rack installation, and decommission activities with precision and to standard — following established SOPs, escalating deviations to your team lead, and ensuring every rack you touch is installed correctly, cabled to specification, fully documented, and handed off with zero blockers. This is an individual contributor role with no people‑management responsibilities. Your work is foundational to AWS’s ability to deliver infrastructure capacity to customers reliably, safely, and at the lowest possible cost.
As a Rack Lifecycle Tech, your day is on the data center floor. You might start the morning by reviewing your assigned work orders in Boost, checking in with your team lead on priorities, and staging cables and optics for a rack installation wave. By midday, you could be terminating fiber runs at a patch panel, running OTDR tests to validate loss results against acceptance thresholds, or labeling and dressing a freshly installed rack. In the afternoon, you might be updating CMDB records for completed work orders, de‑tagging and staging recovered assets from an EOL decom, or helping onboard a new technician by walking them through the SOP. If you encounter a deviation from the approved MOP, you’ll upscale to your team lead immediately — you don't improvise. Your role is hands‑on, technical, and precise — you execute the work that keeps AWS capacity on track.
