Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Hydromechanical Engineer for Hydropower and Pumped Storage Projects. The role is site-based in Uttar Pradesh, India, with on-site work and coordination with PMC and contractors.

The ideal candidate will have a BE/B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering and 10+ years of hands-on experience supervising installation, inspection, testing and commissioning of hydro-mechanical equipment such as gates, valves, penstocks and embedded components.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (B.E./B.Tech) required.
  • 10+ years of experience in hydromechanical projects or similar.
  • Experience supervising installation, inspection, testing, and commissioning of hydro-mechanical equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Inspect gates and valves.
  • Verify embedded parts.
  • Witness testing.
  • Review welding.
  • Monitor painting.
  • Prepare inspection reports.
  • Coordinate with PMC and contractors.

Job Summary:

The Hydromechanical Engineer shall be responsible for supervising the installation, inspection, testing, and commissioning of hydro-mechanical equipment, including gates, valves, penstocks, pressure shafts, and associated embedded components. The engineer shall ensure that all hydro-mechanical works are executed in accordance with approved drawings, technical specifications, quality standards, and project schedules while coordinating with the PMC team and contractors.

Qualification:
