Job summary

Johnson Controls in India is seeking a skilled Service Engineer to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC systems and commercial/industrial chillers. You will ensure optimal performance, provide technical support to customers, and uphold high service standards.

The role requires diagnosing faults, performing preventive maintenance, and coordinating with customers and teams to minimize downtime. Diploma/B.E. in related fields is preferred.

Qualifications

  • Strong knowledge of HVAC systems, chillers, refrigeration cycles, and cooling equipment.
  • Expertise in troubleshooting compressors, VFDs, PLC controls, sensors, pumps, and electrical panels.
  • Knowledge of refrigerants, charging procedures, leak detection, and recovery practices.
  • Ability to read electrical and mechanical drawings.
  • Hands-on experience in preventive and corrective maintenance.
  • Good analytical, communication, and customer-handling skills.
  • Familiarity with BMS (Building Management Systems) is an added advantage.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair HVAC systems, air conditioning units, and water-cooled/air-cooled chillers.
  • Perform preventive maintenance and breakdown service activities.
  • Analyze refrigeration circuits, compressors, condensers, evaporators, controls, and electrical systems.
  • Attend customer complaints and provide timely resolution to minimize downtime.
  • Conduct system performance testing and commissioning of HVAC and chiller equipment.
  • Interpret electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, and refrigeration schematics.
  • Monitor and optimize equipment efficiency and energy consumption.
  • Maintain service reports, maintenance records, and spare parts documentation.
  • Coordinate with customers, service teams, and vendors for smooth execution of service activities.
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards, company policies, and industry regulations.
  • Provide on-site technical support and training to customers when required.

Job Summary
