Job summary

Larsen & Toubro (L&T) in Chennai seeks an experienced HVAC E3D Designer with offshore project exposure to support detailed engineering and 3D modelling of HVAC systems.

The role focuses on ducting and piping layouts, 3D modelling with AVEVA E3D, 2D drafting with AutoCAD, and ensuring compliance with offshore standards and project schedules.

Qualifications

• Diploma / Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
• Relevant certifications in E3D/PDMS design tools.

Responsibilities

• Develop detailed HVAC system designs, including ducting and piping layouts, for offshore facilities.
• Prepare D&IDs, P&IDs, and airflow diagrams using AutoCAD.
• Execute 3D modeling of HVAC systems using AVEVA E3D.
• Perform efficient duct routing and pipe routing, ensuring optimal layout and installation feasibility.
• Conduct and resolve clash detections in coordination with other disciplines (structural, piping, electrical, etc.).
• Extract 2D drawings from E3D models, including plans, sections, and details.
• Apply annotations, dimensions, and tagging in line with project standards.
• Coordinate with engineering and offshore project teams to ensure design compliance and timely delivery.
• Ensure adherence to industry codes, project specifications, and offshore standards.

We are looking for a highly competent HVAC E3D Designer with proven offshore project experience to support detailed engineering and 3D modelling of HVAC systems.

The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in ducting and piping design, along with hands‑on experience in AVEVA E3D and 2D drafting.

Technical Skill Requirements

• Strong hands‑on experience in AVEVA E3D (or PDMS) for HVAC modelling.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD for preparation of HVAC-related diagrams and drawings.
• Solid understanding of HVAC system design for offshore environments.
• Experience in duct and piping layout design, airflow concepts, and system integration.
• Expertise in clash resolution and multidisciplinary coordination.
• Ability to generate accurate drawing extractions and documentation from 3D models.
• Understanding of BIM workflows and digital engineering practices is an advantage.
