Through our links with the NHS, industry and the wider University, we push the boundaries of medical research to address major healthcare issues. Our education programmes are research‑embedded and enhanced by the exceptional work being done here.

The Role

You will work closely with the HTA licence Designated Individual, University Tissue Bank Manager, Facilities Business Operations Manager and central REGO team to ensure implementation of the tissue governance framework, advising on regulatory compliance and leading on continuous improvement.

With an ambition to further grow research and enterprise activity, the role will be crucial to ensuring the university’s compliance with relevant legislation and will work towards continuous improvement of standards around human tissue governance and management. Future projects will include becoming REC‑approved (short to medium‑term) and, in the long term, achieving ISO 20387 accreditation.

We are looking for a proactive and highly organised individual with experience in regulatory affairs and in developing and managing a quality control system.

The post holder will critically evaluate activities, make recommendations, and positively influence practice to maintain regulatory compliance.
