Role Overview: Thales is seeking an experienced HRIS Lead to join our dynamic team. This role sits within Tier 2 support, providing advanced troubleshooting and problem-solving expertise for our Human Resources Information System (HRIS). You will collaborate closely with Tier 1 representatives to resolve initial queries and elevate complex issues to our Tier 3 (Subject matter Experts) for in-depth solutions, ensuring seamless HR operations and superior system performance.

The role reports to HRIS Manager sitting at Noida location.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Technical Support:
    • Provide Workday (WD) Tier 2 support for Thales internal entities and HR functions to troubleshoot and resolve advanced technical issues and system defects reported by end users.
    • Ensure Optimal performance and functioning of Workday HR modules by addressing complex inquiries, troubleshooting problems, and implementing system enhancements.
    • Monitor and respond to end-user requests regarding system complications or malfunctions.
  • System Maintenance:
    • Perform regular system audits, data validation, and maintain data integrity within Workday.
    • Assist with mass data input during large changes, including – but not limited to – restructures, acquisitions, and annual compensation reviews.
    • Support and maintain robust security protocols; manage WD user access and permissions, ensuring compliance with internal data privacy policies and regulatory standards.
    • Monitoring data integrations, performing testing and documenting process and results.
  • Process Improvement:
    • Supports various implementation activities for all HRIS technologies including gathering requirements and needs; liaising with third party vendors and Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to ensure configurations meet requirements and needs.
    • Manage and oversee HRIS-related projects and programs, including project planning, resource allocation, stakeholder communication, and milestone tracking to ensure successful delivery and adoption.
  • Payroll and Time Management System Support
    • Act as the HRIS point of contact for regional Payroll and Time management systems, coordinating with payroll team and external vendor to troubleshoot application issues and support resolution.
    • Coordinate and support payroll system integrations with WD and other downstream applications, ensuring data accuracy and facilitating resolution of interface-related issues in collaboration with HR functions and vendors.
    • Perform data quality reviews, reconciliation activities and coordinating corrective actions related to payroll and time management system integrations with WD.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum 5 - 7 years of experience in Workday.
  • Experience working in coordination with third party payroll vendors to support system interfaces with WD and production support.
  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field of study with a minimum of 5-8+ years of relevant experience, or Master’s degree in a related field of study with 4+ years of relevant experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Must be able to think analytically and with a big-picture perspective; anticipate downstream impacts to system changes.
  • Must be highly organized and able to manage multiple priorities, in addition to possessing effective stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Skills:
  • Workday certification in one or more modules (e.g., C&B, reporting etc.).
  • Experience within HRIS implementation or support.
  • Exposure to payroll applications and their integrations with HR systems.
  • Experience coordinating with third-party vendors for production support and system enhancements
Desired Skills:
  • Global exposure in managing HRIS functions and global stakeholder management.
  • Exposure in engaging and conducting demo sessions for HRIS campaign rollouts to ensure smooth user adoption globally.
