HP Pashu Mitra Recruitment in District Kinnaur is inviting applications for 13 posts of Multi Task Worker (Pashu Mitra) on a part‑time basis (04 hours a day) with a monthly honorarium of Rs. 5,000.

The last date for receipt of applications is 31/01/2026 up to 4 PM, to be submitted at the office of the Senior Veterinary Officer of the respective Sub Divisional Veterinary Hospital. The engagement is overseen by the Office of the Deputy Director, Animal Health/Breeding, Reckong Peo, Kinnaur, HP.

Qualifications

• Minimum qualification of Matric (10th) from any School/Institution situated within Himachal Pradesh.
• Bonafide resident of Himachal Pradesh.
• Able bodied, physically fit and having a sound mind.
• Should be of sound character.

Responsibilities

• Engage as Pashu Mitra across designated Veterinary Institutions.
• Undergo physical tests and merit-based selection during counselling.
• Submit documents for verification and comply with PMEC processes.
• Carry out assigned Animal Husbandry activities and duties per guidelines.

General Eligibility :

• Normal/ neighbouring resident of Gram Panchayat/Urban Local Bodies falling in the Jurisdiction of concerned Veterinary Institution where Pashu Mittra is proposed to be engaged.
• Bonafide resident of Himachal Pradesh
• Able bodied, physically fit and having a sound mind.
• Should be of sound character

The candidate should have a minimum qualification of Matric (10th) from any School/Institution situated within Himachal Pradesh. The condition of passing 10th from Himachal School shall not be applicable to Bonafide Himachali.

Knowledge of Animal Husbandry Activities & Knowledge of customs, manners and dialects of Himachal Pradesh

The Candidate should not be less than 18 years and not more than 45 years of age as on the last date of receipt of application i.e. 31/01/2026.

Eligibility Criteria –

Stage-1 Physical Test: -The candidate will have to undergo physical test The candidate should be able to carry 25 Kg. weight up to 100 meters within one minute.
Schedule containing dates, venue and time for holding physical test will be will be intimated separately. Candidates who will qualify/clear the Physical Test will be called for next counselling

Stage-2 Preparation of Merit list: As per para-No.-8, the Pashu Mitra Engagement Committee (PMEC) will prepare panel of 5 candidates on Merit Basis for each institution, who will be called for document verification with the original at the time of counselling prior to engagement. The Dates/schedule of same will be intimated separately.

Selection Process of Pashu Mitra Bharti:

Stage -1 Physical Test :

The candidate should be able to carry 25 Kg of weight up to 100 meters within one minute.

Essential Educational Qualification
(For this purpose, percentage of marks in Martic shall be multiplied by 0.85 For Example, a candidate scoring 50% marks in Matric will be awarded 50×0.85-42.5 marks) 85 Marks

Preference for Practical Experience in Animal husbandry :
To be decided on the basisi of certificate as per Annexure-B.
Maximum of 4.5 marks will be alloted if applicant or any member of his family (As per Parivar Register) owns :
i) Tagged/registered large Animal(s)- Cow/Buffalo =4.5
ii) Horse/Mule; or
Poultry Farm of more than 100 birds = 3.5
iii) Tagged Small Animal(s) – Sheep/ Goat; or
Poultry Unit of not less than 30 birds =2.5
Untagged Large/Small Animals/Poultry Birds =01 4.5

Preference for permanent resident of the Gram Panchayat :
(Subject to Maximum Marks-1) to be decided as per copy of Pariwar Register of the Gram Panchayat/ULB as under :
i) Permanent resident of Gram Pancyayat/ULB where the engagement is being done =01
ii) Any Gram Panchayat sharing boundary with Gram Panchayat/ULB where the engagement is being done : 0.5
iii) Any Other Gram Panchayat 01
