Job summary

Ugaoo is seeking a passionate Horticulture Advisor to join our retail team in Bangalore. You will guide customers on plants, pots, and gardening products, sharing expert care tips and recommendations to help gardens flourish.

The ideal candidate holds a B.Sc. in Agriculture or Horticulture, demonstrates strong plant knowledge, and communicates clearly to help customers succeed in their plant journeys. Rotational shifts and in-store support complete the role.

Qualifications

• B.Sc. in Agriculture or Horticulture is required.
• Strong knowledge of plants and gardening practices.
• Excellent communication and customer engagement skills.

Responsibilities

• Guide customers in selecting plants, pots, and gardening products.
• Provide expert advice on plant care, watering, fertilization, and pest management.
• Educate customers on plant species and gardening techniques to enhance their experience.
• Ensure plant health and upkeep in-store through watering, pruning, and maintenance.
• Support visual merchandising by maintaining attractive plant displays.
• Assist customers with queries for a seamless in-store experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Guide customers in selecting plants, pots, and gardening products based on their needs and environment.


• Provide expert advice on plant care, maintenance, watering schedules, fertilization, and pest management.


• Educate customers about various plant species and gardening techniques to enhance their gardening experience.


• Ensure plant health and upkeep within the store by monitoring watering, pruning, and general maintenance requirements.


• Support visual merchandising by maintaining attractive and informative plant displays.


• Assist customers with queries and provide a seamless in-store experience.


• Stay updated on new products, plant varieties, and gardening trends.

Eligibility

• Mandatory: B.Sc. in Agriculture or Horticulture.


• Strong knowledge of plants, gardening practices, and plant care.


• Excellent communication and customer engagement skills.


• Passion for gardening and helping customers succeed in their plant journey.


• Comfortable working in a retail environment with rotational shifts and weekly offs.
