We are seeking a Senior Pyspark and Python Developer with 8+ years of overall experience, including 3-4 years in Pyspark and Python, along with Pandas or Numpy. The candidate should be available to join within a 30-day notice period.

Project Description

The role involves developing and maintaining software applications for a leading investment bank client, including requirement analysis, design, development, testing, and implementation.

Responsibilities

1. Develop software applications based on business requirements
2. Maintain and enhance existing applications
3. Participate in all phases of the software development lifecycle
4. Propose new techniques and technologies
5. Perform testing and ensure timely delivery
6. Adhere to coding standards and best practices
7. Assist junior developers and perform code reviews
8. Review business requirements and develop technical specifications
9. Resolve development issues effectively

Mandatory Skills

• 8+ years of experience in data-intensive Pyspark development
• Core Python development experience
• Knowledge of DB connectivity, data loading, transformation, and calculations
• Experience with Pandas/Numpy dataframes, slicing, data wrangling, and aggregations
• Proficiency with vector operations, applymap, apply, and map functions
• Experience with data pipeline concurrency and error handling for batch sizes of 1-10 GB
• Ability to design data pipeline architecture for concurrent processing
• Experience creating RESTful services and APIs
• Knowledge of application unit testing
• Familiarity with Git and service-oriented architecture integrations
