Job summary

HITACHI VANTARA INDIA PRIVATE LIMITED in Chennai seeks an experienced Hospital Internal Auditor to evaluate financial, operational and compliance processes across hospital settings. The role focuses on identifying control gaps, preventing revenue leakage and providing actionable recommendations to management.

Candidate should have CA/CA Inter/M.Com/B.Com/MBA Finance with 3–6 years in internal audit, preferably in healthcare, with strong knowledge of accounting, internal controls and audit

Qualifications

• CA/CA Inter, M.Com, B.Com or MBA Finance or equivalent required.
• 3–6 years in internal audit, preferably in healthcare/hospital industry.
• Strong knowledge of accounting, internal controls and audit procedures.

Responsibilities

• Conduct internal audits of hospital financial and operational processes.
• Review OP/IP billing, pharmacy, laboratory, diagnostics, OT, insurance/TPA and cash collections.
• Verify expenses, purchases, inventory, payments, receipts and accounting transactions.
• Conduct pharmacy and medical inventory audits, including stock reconciliation, expiry and slow-moving stock analysis.
• Review P2P and procurement processes for compliance and cost control.
• Identify billing discrepancies, unauthorized discounts and process deviations.
• Verify cash collections, deposits, refunds, credit notes and outstanding receivables.
• Conduct physical verification of inventory, fixed assets and other hospital assets.
• Review compliance with internal policies, SOPs and approval matrices.
• Evaluate internal controls and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
• Prepare audit reports highlighting observations, risks, root causes and recommendations.
• Follow up with departments on closure of audit observations.

• Review purchase-to-payment (P2P) and procurement processes for compliance and cost control.
• Identify billing discrepancies, unauthorized discounts and process deviations.

• Review compliance with internal policies, SOPs and approval matrices.

Preferred Candidate Profile

• Candidates with hospital/healthcare internal audit experience will be preferred.
• CA Inter candidates with relevant audit experience will be considered.
• Strong knowledge of accounting, internal controls and audit procedures.
• Willingness to conduct branch/hospital visits and physical audits.
• Good communication and report-writing skills.
