Job summary

Alstom Bengaluru seeks a RAMS/SRIL specialist to ensure safety and reliability of our train systems. You will work across Engineering Design, Validation, and RAMS teams, while also collaborating with external suppliers and Sourcing to deliver analyses.

You will perform RAMS/SRIL analyses with QCD commitments, assess RAMS performance of products, and help identify safety requirements. Strong English skills and hands-on approach are essential.

Qualifications

• 8 years of RAMS analysis experience or understanding of RAMS/SRIL demonstration methods.
• Knowledge of rolling-stock engineering and validation.
• Familiarity with safety and reliability standards.
• Strong prioritization and time management.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Structured and organized with a hands-on approach.
• Proficiency in English for reading and writing technical documentation.

Responsibilities

• Perform RAMS/SRIL analyses in alignment with applicable instructions and processes.
• Deliver RAMS/SRIL analyses compliant with QCD commitments.
• Assess RAMS performance of products and ensure safety targets are met.
• Apply Alstom/Engineering processes and instructions to activities.
• Report progress and raise alerts if difficulties arise.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external suppliers.

Job description

Role & responsibilities

• You'll play a critical role in ensuring the safety and reliability of our train systems. Day-to-day, youll work closely with teams across the business, such as the Engineering Design team, Validation team, and Central Engineering RAMS Team, while also collaborating with external suppliers and other departments like Sourcing and Industrial.
• Youll perform RAMS/SRIL analyses, ensure compliance with safety requirements, and contribute to the continuous improvement of our products.
• You’ll specifically take care of delivering RAMS/SRIL analyses in accordance with QCD (Quality, Cost, Delivery) commitments, but also actively participate in the assessment of product RAMS performance and the identification of safety requirements.
• Performing RAMS/SRIL analyses as per applicable instructions and processes
• Delivering RAMS/SRIL analyses compliant with QCD commitments
• Assessing the RAMS performance of products and ensuring safety targets are met
• Applying Alstom/Engineering processes and instructions to all activities
• Reporting progress and raising alerts in case of difficulties
• Fostering technical understanding of Alstom products to enhance safety performance

Preferred candidate profile:

• Degree in Engineering (Electrical, Electro-mechanical, or related field)
• 8 years of experience or understanding of RAMS analysis and demonstration methods
• Knowledge of rolling-stock engineering and validation
• Familiarity with safety and reliability standards
• A strong sense of priorities and time management skills
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Structured and organised with a hands-on approach
• Proficiency in English for reading and writing technical documentation
