Job summary

Smart IMS is seeking a Data Engineer in Bengaluru to join a large ecommerce platform team. The role requires 3-5 years of experience with Scala, Java and SQL, plus hands-on Spark, BigQuery, and Airflow skills.

You will design, build and optimize end-to-end data pipelines, implement robust data models, and ensure data quality across the data lake and warehouse environment.

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience in data engineering.
• Proficient in Scala, Java and SQL.
• Strong BigQuery and data warehousing experience.
• Data modeling concepts with hands-on implementation.
• Hands-on Apache Spark / Spark Jobs.
• Airflow – DAG development and workflow orchestration.
• Experience building end-to-end ETL/ELT data pipelines.
• Performance optimization for Spark and BigQuery queries.
• Data quality monitoring and troubleshooting in production pipelines.
