Job summary

Chemveda life Sciences is seeking a Senior Research Chemist/Research Associate for Analytical R&D to develop and optimize analytical methods (HPLC/UPLC) for complex processes and APIs in a fast-paced CRDMO/CDMO environment.

You will validate methods per ICH, support transfers, profile impurities, and maintain rigorous documentation while troubleshooting instrumentation like HPLC, GC, LC-MS to ensure continuous analytical support.

Qualifications

• M.Sc. in Analytical Chemistry or Organic Chemistry is required.
• 1–5 years in Analytical Method Development (AMD) / HPLC / GC / LC-MS in CRDMO/CDMO/CRO settings.
• Expert-level proficiency in HPLC and strong understanding of process chemistry requirements.

Responsibilities

• Develop and optimize robust analytical methods (HPLC/UPLC) for monitoring processes and APIs.
• Conduct method validation per ICH guidelines and support technology transfer to QC or Production.
• Identify and quantify impurities and degradants to support the Process R&D team in refining routes.
• Troubleshoot and maintain high-end instruments (HPLC, GC, LC-MS) for continuous analytical support.
• Prepare lab notebooks, analytical reports, specifications, and SOPs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Analytical Method Development: Developing and optimizing robust analytical methods (primarily HPLC/UPLC) for monitoring complex chemical processes, intermediates, and final APIs.
• Method Validation & Transfer: Conducting method validation as per ICH guidelines and ensuring smooth technology transfer to the Quality Control or Production teams.
• Impurity Profiling: Identifying and quantifying impurities, degradation products, and residual solvents to support the Process R&D team in refining synthetic routes.
• Advanced Instrumentation: Troubleshooting and maintaining high-end equipment including HPLC, GC, LC-MS, and other spectroscopic tools to ensure non-stop analytical support.
• Documentation & Compliance: Maintaining precise lab notebooks and preparing high-quality analytical reports, specifications, and Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).

Who we're looking for:

• Education: M.Sc. in Analytical Chemistry / Organic Chemistry
• Experience: 1-5 years of core experience in Analytical Method Development (AMD)/HPLC/GC/LC-MC/ Prep HPLC within a CRDMO/CDMO/CRO setup.
• Technical Expertise: Expert-level proficiency in HPLC and a strong understanding of process chemistry requirements.
