Qualifications

• 13 to 16 years of backend software development experience.
• Experience with AI/ML integration is a plus.

• Knowledge of DBs: MySQL/Postgres, DynamoDB/MongoDB/Cassandra.
• Familiarity with CI/CD and cloud/on-prem integrations.

Software Engineering Manager

As a Backend Manager, you will be joining a team transforming healthcare and improving the lives and vitality of the millions of members we serve. We leverage cutting edge Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) algorithms to develop solutions for automated document processing and customer service chat bots. We are looking for an experienced Backend / API Manager to join our team. You will play a key role in supporting backend application managing development, system integration, and implementing AI capabilities in our products. This role requires a solid foundation in Node.js, system integrations, and cloud technologies.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage team of Developers to develop and maintain backend applications using Node.js and Typescript, with a focus on reliability and scalability.
• Implement advanced programming concepts like asynchronous programming, decorators, and efficient coding practices.
• Assist in system integration tasks across cloud and on-premises platforms, ensuring smooth communication between databases and APIs.
• Support transaction management, failure handling, validation, and retries to ensure application robustness.
• Assist in managing cloud-based services, with a preference for experience in AWS.

Desired Qualifications

• 13 to 16 years of experience in backend software development
• Development using AI and Java Fullstack.
• Strong expertise in Node.js and Typescript
• Experience building RESTful and/or GraphQL APIs
• Strong understainding of API design patterns, microservices architecture and even driven designs
• Relational Database - experience using MySQL or Postgres
• NoSql Database - experience using DynamoDb, MongoDB or Cassandra
• Caching - experience using Redis, Memcached
• Understanding of CI/CD tools and practices Experience in system integrations between databases, APIs, and cloud/on-prem systems.
• Experience in architecting and designing distributed systems that are highly available and security focused.
• Knowledge of handling transaction management, failure recovery, and system retries.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms, particularly AWS, is preferred.
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to troubleshoot and optimize complex systems.
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to collaborate across departments.

Education And Training Required

Degree in Computer Science, or a related field.

Location & Hours of Work

• Full-time position, working 40 hours per week. Expected overlap with US hours as appropriate.
• Primarily based in the Innovation Hub in Hyderabad, India, with flexibility to work remotely as required.
