Role Overview

The Head Tendering will be responsible for leading the company s tendering and estimation functions across infrastructure and construction projects. The role involves developing competitive techno-commercial bids, overseeing pricing strategies, evaluating risks, and ensuring timely and compliant tender submissions. The position requires strong leadership, analytical thinking, and the ability to collaborate across departments to deliver winning proposals that support the organization s growth objectives.

Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
  • Formulate and execute tendering strategies aligned with company objectives and business growth plans.
  • Build and manage a robust tender pipeline by identifying and evaluating new opportunities.
  • Lead bid/no‑bid decision‑making based on risk assessment, feasibility, and profitability.
Tender & Estimation Management
  • Analyze tender documents, drawings, and contract conditions to ensure accurate understanding of requirements.
  • Lead BOQ estimation, cost analysis, and pricing strategies to ensure competitive and profitable submissions.
  • Prepare comprehensive techno‑commercial proposals in coordination with management and cross‑functional teams.
  • Ensure all bids are complete, compliant, and submitted within the stipulated timelines.
Coordination & Communication
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Procurement, Contracts, Finance, and Legal departments for technical and commercial inputs.
  • Engage with vendors, subcontractors, and suppliers for quotations, clarifications, and technical support.
  • Attend pre‑bid and post‑bid meetings with clients and consultants to resolve queries and present company capabilities.
Risk, Compliance & Quality
  • Conduct detailed risk analysis covering technical, contractual, financial, and operational aspects.
  • Ensure all tender submissions comply with client requirements, legal standards, and company policies.
  • Review and approve bid documentation before submission to ensure accuracy and quality.
People & Process Development
  • Lead and mentor the tendering and estimation team, fostering a culture of accuracy, accountability, and innovation.
  • Develop standardized templates, rate databases, and costing benchmarks for efficiency and consistency.
  • Implement digital tender management systems and promote the use of modern estimation tools.
  • Continuously evaluate and improve tendering processes for higher efficiency and success rates.
