Job summary

Zigma Global Environ Solutions Kadapa seeks an experienced operations leader to drive daily production against the S&OP plan, balance lines, and optimize manpower deployment. You will ensure material control, yield improvements and safe, compliant operations.

Maintain OEE targets, manage utilities and packaging, and lead cost-control and MIS reporting while guiding team performance and industrial relations at site.

Qualifications

• Experience in food/AFR processing and operations leadership.
• Proven ability to meet production targets and improve yield.
• Strong understanding of ISO 22000 or other standards.

Responsibilities

• Plan daily/monthly production against S&OP; manage line balancing and shifts.
• Control raw material intake, grading and acceptance to spec.
• Drive yield improvements; reduce losses, rework and rejections.
• Oversee utilities, consumables and packaging usage.
• Coordinate preventive and breakdown maintenance to sustain OEE.
• Prepare facility budget and publish MIS on KPIs.

Role & responsibilities

Operations

• Plan and execute daily and monthly production against the S&OP plan; manage line balancing, shift schedules and manpower deployment.
• Control raw material intake, grading and acceptance / rejection against specification.
• Drive yield and recovery improvement; minimise process loss, rework and rejection.
• Manage utilities, consumables and packaging material consumption within defined norms.

Quality & Compliance

• Ensure adherence ISO 22000 or other applicable standards/management systems
• Own hygiene, sanitation, pest control and traceability systems; face customer and statutory audits.
• Close CAPAs on quality deviations and customer complaints within agreed timelines.

Maintenance & Engineering

• Coordinate preventive and breakdown maintenance to keep OEE and uptime at target.
• Provide input to CAPEX planning, new equipment selection, installation and commissioning.

People & Safety

• Recruit, train and appraise staff; manage contract labour compliance and industrial relations at site.
• Enforce EHS norms, PPE discipline, incident reporting and near-miss closure.

Cost & Reporting

• Prepare and control the facility budget; drive cost-per-unit reduction.
• Publish MIS on production, yield, downtime, quality and manpower productivity.

Preferred candidate profile

• B.Tech / B.E. in Food Agricultural, Mechanical or Production Engineering. MBA in Operations is an advantage.

• 10 to 15 years in food / AFR processing, including 35 years leading a facility or a large department.
