FORWARD in Mumbai seeks an experienced leader to spearhead the internal audit function. The role is to drive the audit program and ensure effective governance.

You will build and maintain an Internal Audit Framework, ensure timely reporting to stakeholders, and drive process improvements and cost-saving opportunities through audit insights.

The ideal candidate will lead the audit team, develop QA programs, and ensure high-quality audit findings and closure of engagements.

• Leadership experience in internal audit leadership role.
• Experience building and maintaining an Internal Audit Framework.

Aufgaben

• Build and maintain an effective Internal Audit Framework to assess control weaknesses and fulfill organisational goals.
• Ensure timely and accurate reporting of audit findings to stakeholders to provide assurance that risks are managed.
• Engage in internal audit assignments, examinations and reviews as directed by management to add value to operations.
• Ensure high quality of process and branch audit findings and smooth closure when external services are used for specialist areas.
• Assess and recommend improvements to governance, processes and cost-saving opportunities based on audit evidence.
• Develop and maintain a quality assurance and improvement program for internal audit activities.
• Ensure the internal audit team has the necessary knowledge, skills and competence to perform duties effectively.

This requirement is with a leading Insurance Company in India and the role will be responsible to spearhead the Audit process. This is a leadership role.

• To build and maintain an effective Internal Audit Framework that will assess control weakness in a manner that fulfils the goals of the Organisation.
• Ensure comprehensive, timely and accurate reporting / presentation of audit findings to all key and related stakeholders with the objective of providing reasonable assurance that the organisational risks have been managed effectively
• To engage in specific internal audit assignments, examination and reviews as desired by the management to add value to company’s operations
• To ensure high quality of process and branch audit findings and smooth closure of process and branch audits where services from external service providers are taken on technical and specialised areas
• To assess and make appropriate recommendations to the management on process improvement, governance and cost saving opportunities based on audit evidenced gathered and/or by placing reliance on the work of other assurance providers
• Develop and maintain a quality assurance and improvement program that covers all aspects of internal audit activity
• To ensure that the internal audit team possess the adequate knowledge, skills and competence required to discharge their duties effectively.
