Job summary

Abbott in India (Jhagadia) is seeking a seasoned Materials/SCM leader to oversee warehouse management, indirect purchases, planning and scheduling, and engineering stores. Responsibilities

• Prepare annual budgets, monitor variances and drive cost optimization through projects.
• Develop sourcing strategies and storage plans for ingredients.
• Negotiate with vendors and manage relationships to ensure quality and cost.
• Coordinate with central planning for production planning and plant loading.
• Scrap management and system checks for procurement discrepancies.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

MAIN PURPOSE OF THE ROLE

Responsible to lead materials function for the site which includes warehouse management, In-Direct purchases, planning and scheduling, engineering stores management besides third party operations.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

• Responsible for end to end materials operations, which includes Warehouse Management Engg. Store, Production Planning & Control and Purchase of Indirect Materials & Services.
• Responsible for Supply Planning, Inventory management and Distribution Planning to TPM site and Central warehouse.
• Responsible for developing and execution of strategies/plans to improve the overall supply chain capabilities.
• Responsible for working out annual budgets and its compliance , reconciliation & analysis of all losses and gains in RM/ PM / FG/Budgets and drives cost optimization process through special projects.
• Developing and Executing Sourcing strategy and Storage plan for all ingredients being used at Site.
• Develop Vendors for Services & Indirect Materials ensuring Quality & Cost Effectiveness.
• Responsible for the procurement of capital goods, packaging and raw materials, general items, and services in cost effective manner.
• Responsible for vendor negotiation, vendor relationship and development as per laid down policy of the organization ensuring the Quality & Cost of services is optimised.
• Responsible to facilitate sales and operational planning process ensuring Customer Services Goals are met with.
• Responsible for production planning and scheduling and working closely with central planning team for production planning and plant loading.
• Support introduction of NPIs.
• Responsible to carry out system checks for discrepancies in procurement functions.
• Responsible for end to end Scrap Management: Vendor approval, periodical audit, payment receipts & scrap movement, stock keeping, maintaining scrap in hygienic conditions, record keeping etc.

Education

• Any Graduate with Degree / Diploma in Materials Management/ Supply Chain Management.
• 10-15 years of experience in supply chain management in Manufacturing Set- Up
• 3-4 years in Management Position.
