Job summary

Larsen & Toubro is seeking a Finance Leader to act as a strategic business partner for the Design Services Organisation. The role will provide end-to-end financial leadership across growth, profitability, project economics, cash flow, commercial management and cost optimization.

As the financial co-pilot to the Business Head, you will ensure sustainable profitability and healthy cash generation while aligning financial strategy with business objectives across consolidation, MIS and regulatory

Qualifications

• Act as the principal finance partner to the Business Head and leadership team.
• Participate in business strategy discussions and provide financial perspectives on growth plans.
• Evaluate the financial attractiveness of new business opportunities.
• Support in month-end, quarter-end and annual financial closing and reporting.
• Handling accounting entries, provisions, and adjustments in ERP systems (e.g., SAP/HFM).

• Consolidation of data at the business vertical level.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams for data consolidation and accuracy.
• Develop financial scenarios for different growth and business strategies.

Position Details

The position will be the Finance Leader and strategic business partner for the Design Services Organisation, responsible for providing end-to-end financial leadership across growth, profitability, project economics, cash flow, commercial management, cost optimisation, financial controls, risk management and business decision support.

The role will operate as the financial co-pilot to the Business Head, ensuring that business growth is supported by sustainable profitability and healthy cash generation.

Areas Of Exposure/ Work Background

• Act as the principal finance partner to the Business Head and leadership team.
• Participate in business strategy discussions and provide financial perspectives on growth plans.
• Evaluate the financial attractiveness of new business opportunities.
• Support in month-end, quarter-end and annual financial closing and reporting
• Preparation and validation of various financial schedules and reconciliations
• Assisting in variance analysis, MIS preparation, and management reports
• Handling accounting entries, provisions, and adjustments in ERP systems (e.g., SAP/HFM)
• Supporting internal and statutory audit processes and compliance requirements
• Assisting in preparation of financial data for corporate and regulatory submissions
• Coordinating with cross-functional teams for data consolidation and accuracy
• Supporting activities related to budget preparation and performance monitoring
• Consolidation of Data at the Business Vertical Level
• Interacting with IT for further development and leveraging of technology.
• Translate business strategy into measurable financial targets.
• Develop financial scenarios for different growth and business strategies.
• Challenge business assumptions constructively and ensure decisions are supported by appropriate financial analysis.
