Job summary

AnandRathi is seeking an experienced leader to head Depository Participant (DP) Operations in Mumbai, overseeing daily DP activities and ensuring accurate, compliant processing. You will coordinate with internal teams and external vendors to manage transfers and back-office workflows.

The role requires extensive knowledge of CDSL/NSDL systems and hands-on experience with BOD/EOD, audits, and compliance. You will drive system improvements and regulatory adherence to support smooth operations.

Qualifications

• 10 to 15 years of experience in DP Operations.
• Strong working knowledge of CDSL and NSDL depository systems and DP back-office applications.
• Hands-on experience in on-market/off-market transfers, pledging, unpledging, invocation, and related depository transactions.
• Experience in BOD/EOD processing, vendor management, inspections, audits, and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

• DP Operations: Manage day-to-day DP operations, ensuring timely and accurate processing of all depository-related activities.
• Securities Transfers: Oversee execution and processing of on-market and off-market transfers, including pledging, unpledging, and invocation of securities.
• BOD & EOD Activities: Monitor and manage Beginning-of-Day (BOD) and End-of-Day (EOD) processes in DP back-office, including CDSL/NSDL systems.
• System & Process Management: Ensure smooth functioning of DP back-office systems, timely processing of transactions, and resolution of operational issues.
• Vendor Management: Coordinate with DP back-office software vendors for system maintenance, issue resolution, upgrades, and process improvements.
• Inspection & Audit: Coordinate and support DP inspections, audits, and regulatory reviews, ensuring proper documentation and timely closure of observations.
• Compliance & Controls: Ensure adherence to SEBI, CDSL, NSDL, and other regulatory guidelines, internal policies, and procedures.

Role & responsibilities :

• DP Operations: Manage day-to-day DP operations, ensuring timely and accurate processing of all depository-related activities.
• Securities Transfers: Oversee the execution and processing of on-market and off-market transfers, including pledging, unpledging, and invocation of securities.
• BOD & EOD Activities: Monitor and manage Beginning-of-Day (BOD) and End-of-Day (EOD) processes in the DP back-office, including Commodity and Direct systems of CDSL/NSDL.
• System & Process Management: Ensure smooth functioning of DP back-office systems, timely processing of transactions, and resolution of operational issues.
• Vendor Management: Coordinate with DP back-office software vendors for system maintenance, issue resolution, upgrades, and process improvements.
• Inspection & Audit: Coordinate and support DP inspections, audits, and regulatory reviews, ensuring proper documentation and timely closure of observations.
• Compliance & Controls: Ensure adherence to applicable SEBI, CDSL, NSDL, and other regulatory guidelines, internal policies, and operational procedures.

Preferred candidate profile :

• 10 to 15 years of relevant experience in DP Operations, preferably with a stockbroking firm or financial services organization.
• Strong working knowledge of CDSL and NSDL depository systems and DP back-office applications.
• Hands‑on experience in on-market/off‑market transfers, pledging, unpledging, invocation, and related depository transactions.
• Experience in BOD/EOD processing, vendor management, inspections, audits, and regulatory compliance.
