Role Description

The Head Chef role at JCS Manpower Solutions’ client is a full-time, on-site position based in Bengaluru South. The Head Chef will oversee daily kitchen operations, including menu planning, food preparation, and presentation to ensure consistent quality and adherence to culinary standards. This role involves managing and training kitchen staff, organizing shifts, and enforcing hygiene, food safety, and sanitation practices. The Head Chef will monitor inventory, control food costs, coordinate with suppliers, and collaborate with management to design seasonal menus and special offerings. The position also requires maintaining a positive and efficient work environment, addressing guest feedback, and supporting continuous improvement in kitchen performance.

Qualifications

• Strong culinary skills with expertise in menu development, food preparation, and plating.
• Experience in leading kitchen operations, including staff supervision, scheduling, and workflow management.
• Knowledge of food safety regulations, hygiene standards, and best practices in kitchen sanitation.
• Ability to manage inventory, control food costs, and coordinate ordering with vendors and suppliers.
• Excellent organizational, time management, and communication skills.
• Prior experience as a Head Chef or Sous Chef in a busy restaurant or hotel environment.
• Culinary degree, diploma, or professional certification from a recognized institute is preferred.
• Capacity to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, based on operational needs.
