Job summary

Cisco Bengaluru is seeking a Senior Hardware Program Manager to lead complex hardware development programs (NPIs) and drive schedules, budgets, and risk mitigation.

You will collaborate with Engineering, Supply Chain, and cross-functional teams to ensure on-time, on-budget delivery and compliance with Cisco/ISO/TL9000 processes.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

The Common Hardware Group (CHG) delivers the silicon, optics, and hardware platforms for Cisco’s core Switching, Routing, and Wireless products. We design the networking hardware for Enterprises and Service Providers of various sizes, the Public Sector, and Non-Profit Organizations across the world. Our team plays a critical role in ensuring smooth delivery of Cisco's Next-Gen devices while managing complex hardware development programs effectively, aligning with organizational goals and delivering value to the business.

Your Impact

Our team supports Cisco's leading Hardware Development Engineering teams, and partners closely with our various internal collaborators, such as Product Management, Software Engineering, Supply Chain, Compliance, and Customer Support to strategically plan, complete, and deliver hardware development programs.

We are seeking a dynamic, hardworking Senior Hardware Program Manager to join our team and have the opportunity to manage our innovative development programs. The primary responsibilities of the role are:

• Manage complex Hardware product development programs (NPIs). Need good understanding/experience in managing Hardware product development/sustaining.
• Prepare program plans, schedules, and budgets, working closely with teams from Engineering, Supply chain and support functions.
• Conduct program reviews and provide/present accurate program status and progress reports to Program Teams and Senior Management.
• Identify risks and devise mitigation plans to avoid or minimize impact and deliver products per commitments (Schedule, Quality, Budget).
• Accurate program budget planning and pro‑active management of budget and spending.
• Ensure that the program follows Cisco/ISO/TL9000 processes.
• Manage these programs independently and should be able to function with minimal oversight.

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelors + 7 years of related experience in managing hardware product development (NPI) program management, or Masters + 6 years of related experience in program management.
• Professional certification like PMP in project management are desired.

Preferred Qualifications

• PMP (Program Management Professional) Certified.
• Expertise in intricate scheduling and budget management, including forecasting.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills at a high level.
