Job summary

NTT DATA in Bengaluru, Karnataka, India, is seeking a senior Guidewire PolicyCenter professional to design, develop and maintain PolicyCenter solutions. You will implement configurations, data models and integrations to meet business requirements, working with cross‑functional teams in an Agile environment.

You will contribute Gosu code, validation rules and batch processes, ensuring quality and adherence to development standards while supporting deployments and production issues.

Qualifications

• 7+ years IT experience with hands-on Guidewire PolicyCenter development.
• Strong knowledge of PolicyCenter configuration and customization.
• Experience building PolicyCenter integrations using messaging, REST APIs, SOAP services, XML and JSON.

Responsibilities

• Configure and customize PolicyCenter based on business requirements.
• Develop PolicyCenter components: product model, PCF screens, typelists, rules, workflows and underwriting configurations.
• Design integrations between PolicyCenter and external applications using Guidewire frameworks.
• Work with messaging, web services, REST/SOAP APIs, plugins and batch processes.
• Develop Gosu code including business rules, plugins and batch jobs.
• Collaborate with analysts, architects, QA and external teams to clarify requirements and deliver solutions.
• Perform unit testing, support testing and resolve defects within timelines.
• Support deployment, release validation and incident resolution.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and ensure code quality through standards and documentation.

Role Summary

We are looking for an experienced Guidewire PolicyCenter Developer with 7+ years of overall IT experience and strong hands‑on expertise in PolicyCenter configuration, customization, and integrations. The candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and supporting PolicyCenter solutions aligned with business and technical requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Configure and customize Guidewire PolicyCenter based on business requirements.
• Develop and enhance PolicyCenter components including product model, PCF screens, data model extensions, typelists, rules, workflows and underwriting‑related configurations.
• Design, develop and maintain integrations between PolicyCenter and external applications using Guidewire integration frameworks.
• Work with messaging, web services, REST/SOAP APIs, plugins, batch processes, and event‑based integrations.
• Develop and maintain Gosu code, including business rules, enhancements, plugins, batch jobs and integration logic.
• Collaborate with business analysts, architects, QA teams, and external system teams to clarify requirements and deliver solutions.
• Perform unit testing, support system/integration testing and resolve defects within agreed timelines.
• Support deployment, release validation, production issue analysis, and incident resolution.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily standups, reviews and retrospectives.
• Ensure code quality through adherence to Guidewire development standards, code reviews, and technical documentation.

Required Skills and Qualifications

• 7+ years of IT experience, with significant hands‑on experience in Guidewire PolicyCenter development.
• Strong knowledge of Guidewire PolicyCenter configuration and customization.
• Strong hands‑on experience in Guidewire PolicyCenter configuration and development, including Gosu programming, PCF screens, Product Model, data model extensions, typelists, business rules, workflows and validations.
• Experience developing and enhancing PolicyCenter plugins and batch processes to support business functionality, system integrations, and operational requirements.
• Strong integration experience using Guidewire messaging framework, web services, REST APIs, SOAP services, XML, JSON, and messaging technologies.
• Experience in integrating PolicyCenter with downstream/upstream systems such as billing, claims, document management, payment, customer, and third‑party vendor applications.
• Knowledge of Guidewire Studio, TeamCity/Jenkins or other CI/CD tools, Git/SVN, and deployment processes.
• Good understanding of P&C insurance domain concepts, including policy lifecycle, quote, submission, issuance, renewal, cancellation, endorsements, and underwriting.
• Experience with SQL and relational databases such as Oracle, SQL Server, or DB2.
• Strong problem‑solving, debugging, communication, and stakeholder‑management skills.

Preferred Qualifications

• Guidewire PolicyCenter certification.
• Experience with GuidewireCloud Platform or Guidewire Cloud implementation.
• Exposure to BillingCenter and/or ClaimCenter.
• Experience with Java, Spring, or other integration technologies.
• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum delivery methodologies and production support processes.
