Job summary

Solventum is hiring a Global Supply Chain Data Architect in Bangalore (Hybrid). You will define and guide architecture to turn supply chain data into trusted, reusable data products that support planning, sourcing, manufacturing, logistics, quality, inventory, and end-to-end performance management.

You will bridge business strategy and technical execution, setting standards and roadmaps for scalable analytics and digital solutions.

The Impact You’ll Make in this Role

Solventum is building a connected, governed, and reusable data foundation for Global Supply Chain. The Global Supply Chain Data Architect will define and guide the architecture required to turn supply chain data into trusted, reusable data products that support planning, sourcing, manufacturing, logistics, quality, inventory, and end-to-end performance management. This role bridges business strategy and technical execution, establishing the standards, patterns, and roadmaps that enable teams to deliver consistent analytics and digital solutions at scale.

Enterprise and GSC Data Architecture

• Define and maintain the target-state GSC data architecture, including domain boundaries, conceptual and logical models, integration patterns, data flows, and the transition roadmap from current to future state.
• Translate supply chain priorities and use cases into scalable architecture decisions across operational, analytical, and digital solution landscapes.
• Establish reference architectures and reusable patterns for ingestion, transformation, storage, semantic modeling, master and reference data, APIs, event-based integration, and analytics consumption.
• Ensure architecture decisions align with enterprise technology, security, privacy, records, and data governance standards while meeting GSC business needs.

Data Product Strategy and Enablement

• Partner with GSC domain leaders and product teams to define data products with clear business purpose, ownership, consumers, source systems, service expectations, quality rules, and measurable outcomes.
• Design for reuse across Plan, Source, Make, Deliver, and cross-functional GSC capabilities, reducing duplicate pipelines, metrics, models, and reports.
• Define data contracts, interface expectations, canonical business entities, and fit-for-purpose serving patterns that improve interoperability across data products.
• Coach data product owners and delivery teams on architecture guardrails, product lifecycle practices, technical documentation, and readiness for production.

Data Modeling, Metadata, and Governance

• Lead development of conceptual, logical, and physical data models for core supply chain entities such as material, supplier, customer, location, inventory, order, shipment, production, quality, and cost.
• Establish standards for business definitions, data dictionaries, metadata, lineage, classification, ownership, and critical data elements.
• Embed data quality, observability, access control, retention, and auditability into architecture and data product designs.
• Partner with governance forums to resolve definition and ownership gaps and to ensure architecture exceptions are documented, risk-assessed, and time-bound.

Technical Leadership and Delivery Assurance

• Guide engineers, analysts, solution architects, and implementation partners through design reviews, architecture decisions, and delivery trade-offs.
• Evaluate solution designs for scalability, reliability, performance, maintainability, security, cost effectiveness, and alignment to approved patterns.
• Maintain architecture decision records, dependency maps, technical debt visibility, and sequencing recommendations for the GSC roadmap.
• Lead technical discovery and proof-of-concept work where emerging capabilities can materially improve GSC data products or architecture.

Stakeholder Partnership

• Build alignment among GSC business leaders, Enterprise IT, data platform teams, cybersecurity, governance, and delivery partners.
• Communicate complex architecture topics in clear business language, including options, implications, risks, dependencies, and recommended decisions.
• Influence without direct authority and create practical paths forward when business urgency, platform constraints, and governance requirements compete.
