Job summary

JobItUs in Mumbai is seeking a portfolio analyst for group health and group personal accident lines. You will work with sales teams, brokers, channel partners, clients, Operations and IT to analyze proposals and share quotes.

The role requires 2–3 years’ experience, strong analytical abilities, advanced Excel (pivot tables, macros, PowerPoint) and excellent English communication to convert data into actionable insights and improve quote turnaround.

Responsibilities

• Own profitability and top-line growth for group health and group PA portfolios.

• Analyze claims, coverage, demography data and market dynamics for accounts.
• Identify profitable accounts and pursue to win business.
• Ensure quick turnaround time for quotes and support to sales.
• Improve team efficiency via inputs for IT-enabled process automation.
• Stay updated on insurance trends, especially health, and suggest new products.
• Maintain regulatory compliance and product MIS data requirements.

Key Roles & Responsibilities

• Will be responsible for the profitability and top‑line growth of the group health and group personal accident portfolio.
• Required to work closely with all stakeholders including sales team, brokers, channel partners, clients as well as internal stakeholders like Operations and IT.
• Analyzing group health and PA proposals based on multiple parameters and sharing quotes for the same.
• This will involve a detailed analysis of claims data, coverage data, demography data and the market dynamics of the respective account.
• The goal will be to identify potentially profitable accounts where the likelihood of conversion is high and then pursue such accounts to bag the business.
• Responsible for quick turn‑around time for the quotes and other support that needs to be provided to sales colleagues and other partners.
• Responsible for increasing the efficiency of the team by providing inputs for IT developments related to the automation of everyday repetitive tasks.
• Required to remain updated with the latest trends in the insurance industry especially in the health segments and recommend new innovative products and opportunities.
• Complying with regulatory and as per filed product MIS to be maintained for various data requirements.
