Role & responsibilities
Portfolio & Product Strategy
- Own and drive the new product pipeline strategy, including ideation, feasibility, pre-launch, launch, and post-launch lifecycle management for multiple brands.
- Define long-term product and portfolio growth strategies aligned with business goals.
- Identify new business opportunities, line extensions, and lifecycle management initiatives.
Brand & Market Leadership
- Lead the development and execution of brand strategies and annual brand plans for the assigned product portfolio.
- Drive market penetration, pricing, positioning, and differentiation strategies based on market insights.
- Oversee market research, competitor benchmarking, and SWOT analysis, translating insights into actionable strategies.
Sales Force Effectiveness & Capability Building
- Provide strategic direction and oversight for sales force training programs, ensuring strong scientific knowledge and impactful communication.
- Partner with sales leadership to enhance field effectiveness, messaging consistency, and brand adoption.
- Participate selectively in field work and customer interactions to gather market intelligence and coach teams.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with Medical Affairs, R&D, Regulatory, L&D, Supply Chain, and Sales teams to ensure seamless execution of brand initiatives.
- Ensure timely availability of promotional materials, product dossiers, and launch tools.
- Act as a key stakeholder in internal governance and decision-making forums.
Promotional Excellence & Scientific Engagement
- Lead the creation of high-quality promotional strategies and brand communication inputs.
- Oversee and guide CME programs, scientific events, advisory boards, and KOL engagement initiatives.
- Ensure strong brand visibility among healthcare professionals and institutions in compliance with ethical standards.
People Leadership & Mentoring
- Mentor and guide Product Managers / Assistant Product Managers, driving capability building and performance excellence.
- Review brand plans, campaigns, and launch readiness of team members.
- Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and collaboration within the marketing team.
Performance Monitoring & Governance
- Track brand performance using key KPIs such as sales, market share, ROI on promotions, and prescription trends.
- Recommend course corrections based on performance reviews and market dynamics.
- Ensure adherence to company policies, compliance, and ethical marketing practices.
Preferred candidate profile
- 5-10 years of experience therapy wise.
- Graduated/Post Graduated from Pharma
- Experience in Brand Building, Market Strategy & Product Launching in Central Nervous System products
- Product Management experience pan India of Central Nervous System products
- Excellent Communication skills
