Job description

We are a 42-year-old family-owned business with operations across manufacturing, construction chemicals and retail. We are looking for an experienced CFO to take overall ownership of the Groups finance function and work closely with the promoters on financial and business decisions.

Key Responsibilities

• Overall responsibility for Finance, Accounts, MIS, Cash Flow and Working Capital across Group companies.
• Monitor daily cash position, collections, receivables, payables and inventory.
• Drive strong credit control and collections.
• Ensure timely monthly closing and accurate financial reporting.
• Prepare and review P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow and management MIS.
• Track profitability by business, product and customer.
• Lead annual budgeting, forecasting and Budget vs Actual analysis.
• Strengthen financial controls, approval processes and internal systems.
• Review pricing, margins, customer credit terms and commercial decisions.
• Manage banking relationships and working-capital requirements.
• Ensure timely statutory compliance and coordination with auditors, consultants and banks.
• Improve ERP/MIS reporting and finance processes across the Group.
• Build, manage and develop the finance and accounts team.
• Work closely with the promoters on business planning, investments, expansion and financial strategy.

Ideal Candidate

• 1520+ years of experience, preferably in manufacturing or diversified businesses.
• Strong experience in working capital, cash flow and commercial finance.
• Experience managing finance across multiple entities or business verticals.
• Strong understanding of accounting, taxation, controls and compliance.
• Experience working closely with promoters/owners or senior management.
• Strong analytical and decision-making skills.
• Hands-on, commercially oriented and comfortable challenging business decisions when required.
• High integrity, maturity and confidentiality.

Qualification:

Professional qualification in Finance / Accounting preferred. CA, MBA Finance, CMA or equivalent qualifications will be considered. Strong relevant experience and business leadership capability will be given significant importance.
