Complete assignments on small pro- jects or portions of larger projects, cost-effectively and in accordance with contract specifications, quality standards and safety requirements. Based on technical specification from end customers and inputs from OU Engineering team, prepare Protection & Principle SLD, Schematics, Power supply scheme, Substation layouts – plan & sections, Standard technical specifications for major equipment, R&D activities to improve the work process, Comparison between AIS, GIS & PASS solution, Cost comparison between different solutions, Bill of materials, RFQs, vetting of vendor of- fers, engg hours estimation, technical risk assessment and opportunity evaluation etc. **How you’ll make an impact:*** To be the author for the assigned engineering activities for assignments on projects classified as Low and Medium engineering complexity. Support lead engineer for any technical issues.* Ensure Engineering processes are applied and if needed agree on scaling with the lead engineer.* To participate in Engineering Project Reviews and report progress and cost-to-complete to Engineering- and Project Manager and establish contacts with suppliers for technical support, to improve material quality and/or to decrease costs. Technical Obtains prototype products and develops technical tests. Ensure the deliveries as per schedule and carry out regular reviews.* Having Primary / Secondary design expertise and able to deliver transmission and distribution projects and preparing standards and focus on continuous improvements both technically and functionally, share and develop project engineers / designers to deliver their maximum potential. Adhere to quality processes; suggest continuous improvement.* Share project risks and opportunities from the area of work, technical, but also related to engineering progress, information/data availability and assumptions taken. Knowledge of primary equipment, such as circuit breakers, disconnectors, earthing switches, instrument transformers, power transformers, etc. and knowledge of HV grid power systems. Know-how on design calculations related to Substation Engineering. Knowledge of relevant international standards ex. IEEE, IEC etc. and knowledge in substation tendering and project engineering activities (technical & commercial)* Providing Optimized and Customized solutions for various substation tenders (AIS, GIS, Hybrid, MoSS).
