Qualifications

• 5–7 years of experience as a visual designer, preferably in an agency environment.
• Strong editorial sensibility with hands-on magazine or long-format publication design.
• High proficiency in the Adobe suite: Illustrator, InDesign, and Photoshop.
• Experience with video and audio editing tools such as Premiere Pro, After Effects, Audition, or DaVinci Resolve; Figma experience is valued.
• Strong attention to detail, layout, typography, and visual storytelling.
• Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively with internal teams.

Responsibilities

• Design and produce an in-house magazine and one external publication on a bi-monthly and quarterly basis respectively
• Create marketing and corporate collaterals such as brochures, flyers, print materials including support for Annual Reports and event communication assets
• Develop digital communication assets for platforms such as LinkedIn, including employee communication initiatives
• Translate complex information into clear and compelling visual narratives
• Maintain consistency in branding, typography, layouts, and visual language across all outputs

The Sanmar Group is hiring a high-performing, outcome-oriented Visual Storyteller who can collaborate with the content and digital/Web experts to produce elegant, appealing designs for the requirements of Group Corporate and Individual businesses, helping articulate across physical, digital and social platforms.

This role, located in Chennai, is ideal for someone who holds 5-7 years of demonstrable experience in enabling businesses and Talent Brand tell their story visually be it a billboard, the main banner at a packed exhibition, the cover page of an annual report, a social media poster or short video, an Insta Reel, or an organisation-wide email communique.
