Job summary

RSM US LLP in Haryana, India, seeks a qualified accounting professional with 4–7 years of experience, including 2–3 years in not-for-profit environments. You will work on fund accounting, donor/grant nuances, and ASC 958-based reporting for US-based clients.

You will coordinate with US stakeholders, manage grant cost allocation, and ensure payroll certification adherence while leveraging Sage Intacct, Blackbaud FE NXT, MIP, NetSuite or Workday and advanced Excel.

Qualifications

• Grant cost allocation methodologies and time-and-effort / payroll certification experience
• Fund accounting proficiency across Sage Intacct, Blackbaud FE NXT, MIP, NetSuite or Workday; advanced Excel
• Clear written and spoken English; comfortable with US client stakeholders
• Willingness to work 2:00 PM – 11:00 PM IST shift, with flexibility during month-end/audit season

Job description

• CA / CPA / CMA / MBA (Finance) or B.Com with equivalent depth; 4–7 years in accounting, of which at least 2–3 years must be in a not-for-profit environment. Not-for-profit experience is essential; it may have been gained with Indian or US organizations.
• Working command of of U.S. GAAP for Not-for-Profit entities (ASC 958), including donor-restricted and without-donor-restriction net assets, contribution and grant accounting (ASU 2018-08), contributed nonfinancial assets (ASU 2020-07), ASC 606 revenue recognition.
• Experience with grant cost allocation methodologies and time-and-effort / payroll certification requirements.
• Fund accounting proficiency in at least one platform — Sage Intacct, Blackbaud Financial Edge NXT, MIP Fund Accounting, NetSuite or Workday; advanced Excel (pivots, lookups, large-file reconciliation).
• Clear written and spoken English, comfortable holding independent conversations with US-based client stakeholders.
• Willingness to work the 2:00 PM – 11:00 PM IST shift on a sustained basis, with flexibility during month-end, funder deadlines and audit season.
