Job summary

Micron Technology, Inc. is seeking an Automation Execution & Support professional to help manage site automation systems, including AMHS, ASRS, AGVs, conveyors, and related material tracking tools.

Qualifications

• 2-3 years of experience in automation field.
• Proven troubleshooting and problem-solving using detailed approach.

Automation Execution & Support

• Support site automation systems such as AMHS, ASRS, AGVs, conveyors, and material tracking tools to ensure stable operations.
• Complete assigned automation tasks under defined scope with engineer, following site and global standards.
• Act as a key contributor during system installation, commissioning, ramp, and sustain phases.

Project Participation

• Support automation project execution including checklist execution, and on-site activities.
• Participate in FAT, SAT, UAT, and system buyoff activities, ensuring issues are identified, tracked, and resolved.
• Execute defined work packages within larger automation projects.

Cross‑Functional Coordination

• Work closely with Facilities, Manufacturing, IT/MES, Warehouse, and Equipment Engineering teams to support automation deployment.
• Interface with vendors and OEMs for issue resolution, testing, and clarification of requirements.
• Collaborate with team members, including engineers and maintenance staff, to identify opportunities for system improvements and upgrades, including AI-enabled and agentic solutions for process optimization.

Troubleshooting & Sustainment

• Support troubleshooting and root cause analysis of automation system issues impacting material movement.
• Performing corrective and preventive actions to improve system reliability and up time.
• Support preventive maintenance activities and system health monitoring.
• Should have well versed experience in servo, drives, controllers, conveyors, robot, sensors, mechanical systems, lifts, AGV, ARV etc...

Documentation & Compliance

• Create and maintain basic technical documentation, SOPs, checklists, and as-built information as required.
• Ensure automation activities comply with site safety, EHS, and standard operating requirements.
• Support pilots, trials, and FOAK activities under guidance from engineers.
• Actively develop technical depth and system knowledge across supported automation platforms.

Communication & Professionalism

• Communicate technical information clearly and professionally to cross-functional teams and vendors.
• Ask clarifying questions, raise risks early, and document learnings and action items.
• Demonstrate strong ownership within assigned scope and follow-through on commitments.

Minimum Qualifications

• 2-3 years of experience in the automation field
• Proven experience in troubleshooting and problem-solving using a detailed approach
• Good knowledge of electrical drives, servos, robots, PLC, controllers, conveyors, vision systems, SPM…
• Semiconductor experience will be a valuable addition

Preferred Qualifications

• B. Tech/ Diploma in Mechatronics or Mechanical Engineering, electrical engineering or equivalent experience
