Job summary

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering or related engineering discipline from an accredited university or college.
  • Ability to analyse information, identify problems, and support structured problem-solving activities.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.

Responsibilities

  • Support quality assurance activities for manufacturing and engineering processes per procedures.
  • Monitor process compliance and identify opportunities to improve effectiveness.
  • Assist investigations of product and process non-conformances, including data collection and root cause analysis.
  • Participate in CAPA and continuous improvement activities under guidance.
  • Support preparation and maintenance of quality documentation and work instructions.
  • Collaborate with Manufacturing, Engineering, and Quality teams on improvements.
  • Analyse quality and manufacturing data to identify issues and trends.
  • Support assigned quality projects per business priorities.
  • Build knowledge of GE HealthCare quality systems and regulatory requirements.

Graduate Engineer Trainee Job Description Summary

The Graduate Engineer Trainee (GET) - Quality will support quality assurance activities within the manufacturing environment, helping ensure products and processes meet established quality, regulatory, and business requirements. The role will provide hands-on exposure to quality systems, manufacturing processes, non-conformance investigations, documentation, and continuous improvement activities. The trainee will work closely with Quality, Manufacturing, Engineering, and other cross-functional teams while developing practical knowledge of quality processes within the medical technology industry. Roles and Responsibilities


  • Support quality assurance activities for manufacturing and engineering processes in accordance with established procedures and quality requirements.

  • Assist in monitoring process compliance and identifying opportunities to improve process effectiveness and efficiency.

  • Support investigations of product and process non-conformances, including data collection, basic failure analysis, root cause investigation, and follow-up of corrective actions.

  • Participate in corrective and preventive action (CAPA) and continuous improvement activities under the guidance of experienced Quality team members.

  • Support the preparation and maintenance of quality and process documentation, including procedures, work instructions, flowcharts, forms, templates, checklists, and worksheets.

  • Work with Manufacturing, Engineering, and Quality teams to support product and process improvement activities.

  • Analyse quality and manufacturing data to identify issues, trends, and opportunities for improvement.

  • Support assigned quality projects and other activities based on business and departmental priorities.

  • Build practical knowledge of GE HealthCare quality systems, manufacturing processes, and applicable quality and regulatory requirements.


Required Qualifications


  • Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering , Electronics Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline from an accredited university or college.

  • Ability to analyse information, identify problems, and support structured problem-solving activities.

  • Good written and verbal communication skills.

  • Basic proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
