Job description

You’ll be working with the engineering team.

This team runs on coffee with an infectious passion for building products that have never been built before. Our Flexible Energy Stack consists of the e^pack (battery pack) and e^pump (charging station) which together unlock 15-minute rapid charging.

Our philosophy: Break. Believe. Build

Break stuff. Break assumptions. Break the thumb rule.

Believe in the team. Believe in the process. Believe through failures.

Build fast. Build passionately. Build to simplify.

Role Description

We are looking for a GET in the Mechanical Engineering function to aid in the design and development of mechanical systems across our Flexible Energy Stack — the e^pump (charging station) and e^pack (battery pack). You will contribute to designs spanning structures, enclosures, thermal systems, and electro-mechanical packaging, taking them from concept through validation to production.

What you will do:
  • Support the design and development of mechanical systems and components across the e^pump and e^pack.
  • Work on structures, enclosures, thermal systems, and electro-mechanical packaging while balancing performance, cost, manufacturability, and serviceability.
  • Contribute to taking mechanical designs from concept through prototyping, validation, and production stabilisation.
Responsibilities:
  • Designing mechanical systems and components — including sheet metal, plastics, machined parts, and assemblies — for weight, volume, thermal performance, and IP sealing, while ensuring serviceability and manufacturability (DFM/DFA).
  • Developing and executing test plans to validate components, subsystems, and full product performance.
  • Participating in root cause analyses (RCAs) for issues identified during testing and field deployment, and contributing to their closure through robust design changes.
  • Documenting the product development cycle from concept to production stabilisation, including FMEA, DFX, DVP, inspection plans, and other relevant engineering documentation.
The ideal candidate requires:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related engineering discipline (or higher).
  • 0–2 years of relevant experience; fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
  • Experience or exposure to the EV domain is a bonus, but not mandatory.
  • Robust fundamentals in mechanical engineering, including structural design, thermal systems, and electro-mechanical packaging.
  • Good knowledge of materials such as metals, plastics, composites, and elastomers, and their appropriate applications.
  • Basic understanding of fluid systems, heat transfer (conductive and convective), and refrigeration fundamentals.
  • Hands-on experience with mechanical assembly and an ability to optimise packaging for cost, performance, and manufacturability.
  • Excellent CAD skills; SolidWorks experience is preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a willingness to learn and work on real-world engineering challenges.
What matters:
  • Quality of work
  • Approach towards problem-solving
  • Dissatisfaction towards mediocre work
  • Resilient attitude to bounce back after failing
