Job description

The GR Granulation Operator will be responsible for operating granulation equipment and supporting oral solid dosage manufacturing activities in a pharmaceutical production environment. This involves material handling, equipment setup, wet or dry granulation processing, process monitoring, cleaning, and documentation. The candidate must follow GMP, SOPs, safety procedures, and batch manufacturing records to ensure consistent product quality, controlled processing, and timely batch completion.

• Operate granulation equipment as per approved SOPs and batch manufacturing records.
• Perform wet granulation, dry granulation, mixing, binder preparation, drying, milling, and sieving activities as required.
• Verify raw materials, batch numbers, equipment status, and area readiness before starting operations.
• Monitor critical process parameters such as mixing time, binder addition, temperature, drying time, and moisture level.
• Record production observations, equipment readings, process details, and batch data accurately.
• Follow GMP, hygiene, safety, and contamination control practices during all manufacturing activities.
• Assist in equipment cleaning, area cleaning, line clearance, and product changeover activities.
• Report equipment breakdowns, abnormal granules, process deviations, or safety concerns to supervisors immediately.
• Handle raw materials, intermediates, and granulated products carefully to prevent contamination or mix-ups.
• Coordinate with production, QA, IPQA, warehouse, and maintenance teams during batch execution.
• Support in-process checks and sample collection as per defined procedures.
• Maintain proper labeling, segregation, and movement of materials during granulation operations.
• Minimize material loss, spillage, downtime, and operational errors during assigned shifts.
• Follow PPE requirements and safe handling practices for powders, chemicals, and equipment.
• Complete assigned granulation activities within planned timelines and quality requirements.
