Job summary

Utkarsh Global Foundation in Mumbai seeks a Government Partnerships Manager to lead and expand strategic partnerships with government bodies. You will identify opportunities, build long-term relationships, secure collaborations, and drive growth aligned with our mission.

The role requires engaging with Government Departments, PSUs, and municipal bodies, tracking tenders and policy initiatives, and coordinating with internal teams to deliver project plans and documentation. Travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in relevant field.
• 8+ years of experience in Government Relations, Government Partnerships, Institutional Partnerships, Business Development, or NGO sector.
• Strong network with Government Departments, PSUs, and public-sector organizations.
• Proven experience in proposal writing, stakeholder management, and partnership development.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, presentation, and relationship-building skills.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain relationships with Government Departments, PSUs, Municipal Corporations, and other public-sector stakeholders.
• Identify and secure government partnerships, projects, grants, and funding opportunities.
• Track government tenders, RFPs, schemes, and policy initiatives relevant to the Foundation.
• Prepare high-quality proposals, concept notes, presentations, MoUs, and partnership documentation.
• Represent the Foundation in meetings with government officials and institutional partners.
• Coordinate with internal teams to develop project plans and ensure timely execution of partnership commitments.
• Collaborate with CSR teams, development agencies, and institutional partners to create strategic alliances.
• Negotiate partnership terms and manage stakeholder expectations throughout the project lifecycle.
• Maintain a strong pipeline of partnership opportunities and provide regular progress reports to senior management.
• Ensure compliance with government guidelines and organizational policies.

About the Role

The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying government opportunities, building long-term relationships, securing collaborations, and driving institutional growth aligned with the Foundation's mission.

Role & responsibilities

• Build and maintain strong relationships with Government Departments, PSUs, Municipal Corporations, and other public-sector stakeholders.

Preferred candidate profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Public Policy, Social Work, or a related field.
• 812 years of experience in Government Relations, Government Partnerships, Institutional Partnerships, Business Development, or the NGO sector.
• Strong network with Government Departments, PSUs, and public-sector organizations.
• Proven experience in proposal writing, stakeholder management, and partnership development.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, presentation, and relationship-building skills.
• Willingness to travel as required.
