Job summary

EPAM Systems India seeks an experienced Google Cloud Technology Consultant to drive enterprise cloud transformation. You will partner with clients to design future-state GCP architectures, guide application modernization, and act as a trusted technical advisor to pre-sales, engineering, and delivery teams.

Responsibilities include defining migration strategies, architecting landing zones, IAM, security and governance, and leveraging GKE, Cloud Run, AlloyDB, Pub/Sub, and other GCP services.

Qualifications

• 16-22 years of IT experience with enterprise or cloud architecture background.
• Hands-on GCP architecture across compute, networking, IAM, security, storage, governance, and managed services.
• Design enterprise foundations: Landing Zones, Shared VPC, Organization Policies.
• Proficiency in GKE/Kubernetes, containers, and Cloud Run for cloud-native platforms.
• Experience modernizing applications and multi-cloud migrations (rehost, re-platform, refactor, re-architect).
• Familiarity with Java, .NET, or Python; strong stakeholder engagement.
• Experience in pre-sales, solutioning, RFPs, architecture assessments, and client workshops.
• Nice to have certifications like Professional Cloud Architect; exposure to AWS/Azure.

• Advise across cloud platform engineering, cloud-native adoption, application modernization, and migration.
• Architect enterprise GCP environments covering landing zones, networking, IAM, security, governance, observability, and platform services.
• Define modernization approaches for legacy and enterprise apps including re-platforming, refactoring, containerization, microservices, and cloud-native re-architecture.
• Guide architecture using GCP services such as GKE, Cloud Run, Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, Cloud SQL, AlloyDB, Pub/Sub, Apigee, and other managed services.
• Lead large-scale workload assessments and define migration strategies (rehost, re-platform, refactor, re-architect).
• Advise engineering teams on scalable architectures, APIs, microservices, event-driven designs, integration patterns, and distributed systems.
• Shape technical solutions for RFPs, architecture workshops, and client discussions with cross-functional teams.
• Evaluate opportunities to leverage GenAI and Vertex AI within cloud transformation programs.
• Act as a trusted technical advisor, providing architectural direction across enterprise cloud transformation initiatives.

You will collaborate closely with pre-sales, engineering, and delivery teams to shape scalable, secure, and innovative solutions.

• Advise clients across cloud platform engineering, cloud-native adoption, application modernization, and migration
• Architect enterprise GCP environments covering organization structure, landing zones, networking, IAM, security, governance, observability, and platform services
• Define modernization approaches for legacy and enterprise applications, including re-platforming, refactoring, containerization, microservices adoption, and cloud-native re-architecture
• Guide architecture using services such as GKE, Cloud Run, Compute Engine, Cloud Storage, Cloud SQL, AlloyDB, Pub/Sub, Apigee, and other GCP managed services
• Lead large-scale workload assessments and define migration and modernization strategies, including rehost, re-platform, refactor, and re-architect

Requirements

• 16-22 years of overall IT experience with strong background in enterprise architecture, cloud consulting, systems/platform architecture, or application architecture
• Hands-on architectural expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP), including compute, networking, IAM, security, storage, governance, observability, and managed services
• Proficiency in designing enterprise cloud foundations, including GCP Landing Zones, Organization/Folder/Project structures, Shared VPC, IAM, and Organization Policies
• Skills in GKE/Kubernetes, containers, and Cloud Run for cloud-native application platforms
• Proven capability in application modernization, including migration from monolithic or legacy applications toward microservices, containerized, API-driven, or event-driven architectures
• Familiarity with application architecture and development technologies such as Java, .NET, or Python
• Background in enterprise-scale cloud migration and modernization programs
• Understanding of APIs, integration patterns, and messaging/event streaming, along with databases, caching, and distributed application architectures
• Ability to engage with senior business and technology stakeholders and translate business transformation objectives into practical cloud architecture
• Experience contributing to pre-sales, solutioning, RFPs, architecture assessments, and client workshops
• Capability to operate as a senior individual contributor and influence enterprise architecture decisions across cloud platform and application modernization initiatives
• Nice to have Google Cloud certifications such as Professional Cloud Architect or other relevant GCP certifications
• Exposure to AWS or Azure
• Experience with multi-cloud transformation programs
