Job summary

Kyndryl is seeking an experienced Cloud Architect to lead enterprise Google Cloud initiatives across multiple client engagements. The role focuses on designing secure, scalable GCP environments, driving cloud transformation, and delivering end-to-end solutions with strong governance and automation.

You will mentor teams, define architecture standards, and collaborate with security, networking, and application teams to ensure successful delivery. A hybrid work model is available across India.

Qualifications

• 15+ years of enterprise infrastructure design and management.
• Expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) architecture and administration.
• Hands-on experience with Terraform and DevOps practices.
• Proficiency in Google Cloud CLI, Python, Shell scripting, and Ansible.

The Role

My Role

• Serve as the primary technical leader and trusted advisor for clients throughout the project lifecycle.

• Gather business and technical requirements from stakeholders and translate them into cloud infrastructure solutions.

• Define solution architecture and align Google Cloud capabilities with client requirements.

• Provide technical leadership and guidance to project teams, delivery teams, and cross‑functional stakeholders.

• Lead solution design, architecture reviews, and cloud transformation initiatives.

• Engage with SMEs, vendors, governance teams, and project executives to ensure successful delivery.

• Drive innovation, cloud adoption, and best practices across enterprise infrastructure environments.

• Own end-to-end solution delivery, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and according to quality standards.

What You Will Do

• Design and implement secure, scalable, and highly available Google Cloud infrastructure solutions.

• Manage and optimize core GCP services, including Compute Engine, VPC, Load Balancing, Cloud Storage, IAM, GKE, and networking components.

• Lead cloud operations, including provisioning, monitoring, patching, backup, capacity planning, and lifecycle management.

• Plan and execute cloud migration, disaster recovery, and high‑availability strategies to ensure business continuity.

• Automate infrastructure deployment and operations using Terraform, CI/CD pipelines, Python, Shell scripting, and Ansible.

• Implement cloud security, governance, monitoring, logging, and observability frameworks aligned with enterprise standards.

• Troubleshoot complex cloud infrastructure issues, perform root cause analysis, and drive performance and cost optimization initiatives.

• Collaborate with application, network, security, database, SRE, and DevOps teams while maintaining architecture documentation, runbooks, and operational best practices. • Expertise in Google Cloud Platform (GCP) architecture and administration.

• Strong hands‑on experience with: Compute Engine (GCE)VPC, Cloud Storage Load Balancing, Cloud DNSIAM, Cloud NATVPN / Cloud Interconnect Monitoring, Logging, and Security Services

• Hands‑on experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform).

• Experience in DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and cloud automation.

• Proficiency in Google Cloud CLI, Shell Scripting, Python, and Ansible.

• Experience in large‑scale cloud operations, migration, modernization, and hybrid cloud environments.

• Strong knowledge of: Cloud Security & IA Governance & Organizational Policies Encryption & Secrets Management Network Security Cost Optimization

• Experience with observability, monitoring, alerting, performance and capacity management.

• Strong troubleshooting skills, incident management, and root cause analysis.

• Experience designing highly available, scalable, and resilient cloud solutions.

• Understanding of ITIL processes, including Incident, Problem, Change, and Configuration Management.

Preferred Professional Experience:

• Experience with G oogle Kubernetes Engine (GKE).

• Exposure to Google Cloud managed database services.

• Expertise in Cloud Interconnect and enterprise‑scale GCE environments.

• Experience integrating GCP with on‑premises infrastructure.
