The ideal candidate will bring AFC Goalkeeping Level 2 certification and at least 5 years of professional GK coaching experience, with strong leadership and communication skills and flexibility to travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement a comprehensive goalkeeping training program addressing technical, tactical, physical, and mental aspects.
• Evaluate GK performance during training and matches; provide regular feedback to improve skills and decision-making.
• Collaborate with Head Coach and staff to develop game plans and strategies for GK and team.
• Monitor GK health and design recovery programs to maintain peak performance during tournaments.
• Scout and analyze opposing GK strengths and weaknesses; build game-counter strategies.
• Build a positive team culture and promote growth and development for GKs.
• Attend all team meetings, training sessions, and matches as required by Head Coach.
• Communicate effectively with players, coaching staff, and management for smooth operation.

Job description

All India Football Federation is looking for an experienced Team Goalkeeper Coach to manage the FIFA(TID) AIFF Academy. Selected candidate will assist the respective team training programs and managing the team’s training/match activities in the academy.

Key Deliverables

• # 1 Develop and implement a comprehensive goalkeeping training program that addresses the technical, tactical, physical, and mental aspects of the position
• # 2 Evaluate the performance of the goalkeepers during training and matches and provide regular feedback to help them improve their skills and decision-making
• # 3 Work with the Head Coach and other members of the coaching staff to develop game plans and strategies that optimize the performance of the goalkeepers and the team as a whole.
• # 4 Monitor the physical and mental health of the goalkeepers and design appropriate recovery and regeneration programs to help them maintain their peak performance throughout the tournament.
• # 5 Scout and analyse the goalkeepers of the opposition teams and develop strategies to counter their strengths and exploit their weaknesses
• # 6 Build a positive team culture and foster an environment that promotes growth and development for the goalkeepers
• # 7 Attend all team meetings, training sessions, and matches as required by the Head Coach
• # 8 Communicate effectively with players, coaching staff, and management to ensure the smooth operation of the team

Qualifications & Experience

Must have at least AFC Goalkeeping Level 2.

• At least 5 years of experience coaching goalkeepers at professional level
• Strong communication and leadership skills
• Excellent knowledge of the technical and tactical aspects of the goalkeeping position
• Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing situations
• Passion for football and commitment required.
• Must be willing to travel and work flexible hours as required by the team schedule.
