Job summary

RSM invites applications for a Global Immigration Compliance Associate to support work authorization, visa processes, and travel compliance across regions. You will coordinate with internal teams and external counsel to ensure timely cases, accurate records, and adherence to policies.

Ideal candidates have 2–3 years in global immigration or mobility, strong communication, and comfort with MS Office; experience with immigration service providers and knowledge of global travel programs is a plus.

  • Collaborate with counsel and providers to facilitate visas and permits.
  • Update resources, policies, and knowledge management documents.
  • Communicate immigration policies to employees in a professional manner.
  • Identify process improvements and participate in mobility projects.

Global Immigration Compliance Associate 1 Job Profile Summary

The Global Immigration Compliance Associate supports global immigration and business travel compliance by coordinating immigration processes, maintaining accurate records, assisting employees and stakeholders, and ensuring adherence to immigration regulations and company policies. This role partners with internal teams and external immigration counsel to support work authorization, compliance, reporting, and process improvement initiatives.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate global immigration and business travel cases with internal stakeholders, employees, talent teams, and external immigration providers to ensure timely initiation and completion of processes.
  • Review international travel requests and immigration questionnaires to determine appropriate travel classifications and escalation requirements.
  • Assist employees with immigration-related documentation and respond to routine inquiries regarding visa, work permit, and travel processes.
  • Prepare and coordinate immigration support documents, including invitation letters, employment confirmation letters, and visa-related documentation.
  • Maintain accurate immigration records, case files, and supporting documentation to ensure compliance and audit readiness.
  • Partner with immigration counsel and service providers to facilitate visa, work permit, and business travel assessments.
  • Maintain and update immigration resources, including process guides, FAQs, policies, and knowledge management documents.
  • Communicate immigration policies, procedures, and requirements to employees and stakeholders in a professional and customer-focused manner.
  • Assist in identifying process improvement opportunities and participate in immigration and mobility projects.
  • Stay informed of immigration regulations, market trends, and business travel requirements that may impact employee mobility.
Required Qualifications
  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in global immigration, global mobility, human resources.
  • Strong knowledge of employment-based immigration processes, business travel compliance, and mobility programs.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong organizational and case management skills with attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize and multi-task within high volume environment and minimal supervision.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree.
  • Experience working with external immigration counsel and immigration service providers.
  • Experience supporting global mobility, immigration, or international business travel programs.
  • Familiarity with ServiceNow, Workday, Experience working in a shared service, consulting, or multinational corporate environment.
  • Knowledge of U.S. and global immigration programs and business travel requirements.
