Job summary

Amgen Hyderabad is seeking an Evidence Synthesis Senior Manager to lead advanced meta-analyses, MAICs, STCs and health-economic models to inform HTA and payer decision-making. You will provide methodological leadership within Global HEOR and partner closely with Product Leads to align analyses with product strategy.

You will mentor team members, monitor evolving guidelines, and foster thought leadership across time zones and functions in a global organization.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s/Master’s/Doctoral degree in quantitative fields (statistics/biostatistics/biomed/engineering/health economics).
• +12 years experience with Master’s, +14 years with Bachelor’s in evidence synthesis and statistical analyses in pharma/biotech/consulting.
• Expertise in research design and statistical methods, including survival and pooled treatment effects.
• Experience in health economic analyses (cost-effectiveness/cost-utility, budget impact).
• Proficiency with modeling tools such as Excel, WinBUGS/OpenBugs/JAGS, R or Python.
• Experience in AI/ML and Bayesian stats is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design and provide methodological leadership in advanced evidence synthesis and statistical analyses (Pairwise MA, ITCs, NMA, MAIC, STC).
• Design and lead health economic models (Markov, partitioned survival, cost minimization, budget impact).
• Ensure quality standards and proper documentation of analyses and models.
• Plan and conduct statistical analyses for clinical trials, RWE and other data sources; develop supporting documentation.
• Collaborate with HEOR Product Leads to align analyses with product strategy.
• Monitor evolving HTA guidelines and payer requirements; foster thought leadership.
• Mentor and develop team members.

Position Summary

The Global HEOR Evidence Synthesis Manager plays a critical role in supporting Amgen’s global market access and health economics strategy through contributing statistical capabilities and methodological leadership for evidence synthesis methodologies (meta-analyses & ITCs). This role will partner closely with Global HEOR Product Leads to ensure strong alignment with product strategy. The Evidence Synthesis Senior Manager will lead different evidence pooling analyses ranging from meta-analyses, network meta-analyses to population-adjusted indirect treatment comparisons (MAICs and STCs) and health-economic analyses facilitating HTA and payer decision-making.

Educational Qualifications

• A Bachelor’s, Master's or Doctoral-level degree in applied statistics, biostatistics, mathematics, operations research, engineering, health economics, pharmacy, and related quantitative fields
• Required experience/ knowledge Years of relevant experience in evidence synthesis and statistical analyses in the pharmaceutical, biotech or consulting setting: +12 years for Master’s degree and +14 years for Bachelor’s degree.
• Expertise in research design and statistical methods, including estimating survival, pooled treatment effects and other methods to estimate treatment effect
• Experience in leading health economic analyses such as cost-effectiveness/cost-utility (e.g., markov, partitioned survival model), cost minimization, budget impact, and other techniques, as appropriate
• Proficiency with modeling and statistical tools such as Excel, WinBugs, OpenBugs, JAGS, R or Python.
• Experience in AI/ ML techniques and Bayesian statistics is a plus.

Key Responsibilities

• Design and provide methodological leadership in advanced evidence synthesis and statistical analyses such as Pairwise Meta-Analysis, Surrogate outcome assessment, Survival analysis, External Control Arm (ECA) analysis, Indirect treatment comparison (ITCs), Network Meta-Analysis, Match adjusted indirect treatment analysis (MAIC), Simulated treatment comparison (STC) and Meta-regression
• Design and lead health economic models for products at all stages of development and launch, using cost-effectiveness/cost-utility (e.g., markov, partitioned survival model), cost minimization, budget impact, and other techniques, as appropriate.
• Ensure quality standards are adhered to in all analyses and new methodologies and techniques are adequately assessed and implemented.
• Plan and conduct statistical analyses of clinical trials, RWE and other relevant data sources and develop supporting technical documentation for statistical analyses and economic models.
• Work closely with HEOR Product Leads to ensure analyses and models follow product strategy.
• Monitor and integrate evolving HTA guidelines, payer requirements, and methodological advancements.
