Job summary

Sevenmentor invites applications for a German Trainer to teach German to individuals or groups in person or online, tailoring lessons to learners’ levels in schools, language institutes, corporate settings, or private tutoring.

You will develop plans, assess progress with quizzes and exams, foster an engaging learning environment, incorporate German culture, and adapt materials to business German, conversation, or exam prep. Prior teaching experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Teach German language to individuals or groups in person or online; prepare and deliver lessons tailored to students’ learning levels.
• Create lesson plans and provide structured, engaging instruction to meet students' needs; assess student progress through quizzes, exams, and evaluations; provide feedback and suggest resources for further study.
• Foster a positive, interactive, and supportive learning environment; manage classroom behavior and ensure students stay engaged.
• Encourage student participation in speaking and listening exercises.
• Teach aspects of German culture, history, and social practices to provide context for the language; include real-life scenarios such as travel tips or business practices where appropriate.
• Design or adapt course materials to fit the specific needs of the class (e.g., business German, conversational skills, exam preparation); stay up-to-date with language learning methodologies.
• Offer individualized support to students who may need extra help or practice; respond to students’ questions outside of regular class hours.
• Track and report students’ progress regularly to learners and, if applicable, the employer or institution; provide remedial support for students struggling with certain concepts.
• Maintain attendance records, grades, and feedback reports; assist in scheduling classes and arranging assessments; participate in meetings or workshops as required.
