Sopra Steria in Bengaluru is seeking a highly skilled Generative AI Specialist to join our AI & Automation team. You will work with LLMs such as ChatGPT, LLaMA, and Bedrock, design and deploy AI models, and lead technical delivery in customer-focused environments.

You will collaborate with product, engineering, and data teams, fine-tune models, ensure scalable production-grade solutions, and mentor juniors while advancing our AI capabilities across domains.

Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Generative AI Specialist to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in working with various large language models (LLMs) such as ChatGPT, LLaMA, and Bedrock, and possess in‑depth knowledge of Microsoft Copilot. The candidate should be able to implement solutions considering customer environment/constraints and technically lead the team. Additionally, the candidate should be proficient in various automation tools to streamline and enhance our AI‑driven processes.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop & Implement AI Models:
• Design, develop, and deploy Generative AI models (e.g., GPT, DALL·E, Stable Diffusion).
• Fine‑tune pre‑trained models to address specific use cases and industry challenges.
• Drive Innovation:
• Lead the research and implementation of advanced Generative AI technologies.
• Identify and explore new applications for AI across domains, ensuring business impact.
• Collaborate & Deliver:
• Partner with product, engineering, and data teams to align AI capabilities with organizational goals.
• Deliver end‑to‑end solutions, including APIs and microservices for production‑grade applications.
• Optimize AI Solutions:
• Ensure scalability, performance, and reliability of deployed models.
• Address bottlenecks in training and inference workflows.
• Lead & Mentor:
• Guide junior team members, fostering a culture of learning and technical excellence.
• Contribute to building best practices and standardizing workflows in AI development.

Must‑Have Skills

• Extensive experience with frameworks such as PyTorch, TensorFlow, and Hugging Face.
• Advanced knowledge of transformer architectures and LLMs (e.g., GPT, BERT, T5).
• Strong expertise in training and deploying Generative AI models like DALL·E, Stable Diffusion, or similar.
• Proficiency in Python and cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) for AI development.
• Demonstrated ability to optimize model performance and scalability in production environments.
• Ability to work in a fast‑paced and dynamic environment.
• Knowledge of natural language processing (NLP) techniques and tools.

Good‑to‑Have Skills

• Good understanding of PLM solutions
• Experience working for Aerospace customers.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Copilot and its applications.
• Experience in reinforcement learning, multi‑modal AI systems, or unsupervised learning.
• Familiarity with MLOps workflows, including CI/CD pipelines for machine learning.
• Knowledge of ethical AI practices and bias mitigation techniques.
• Expertise in tools for data annotation, model evaluation, and A/B testing.
• Experience in building AI solutions for personalization, content generation, or automation.

Qualifications

Education and Experience Requirements:

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, or a related field.
• Total of 7+ years of hands‑on experience on AI with good exposure on generative AI and LLMs such as ChatGPT, LLaMA, and Bedrock.
• Proficiency in programming languages such as Python, Java, or similar.
• Experience with automation tools and frameworks.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and collaboration skills.
