Job summary

EXL is seeking a seasoned AI/ML engineer to lead design and deployment of agentic AI workflows, building scalable REST/WebSocket APIs and integrating LLMs into enterprise apps.

You will deploy multiple GenAI projects with robust data pipelines, graph databases, and vector stores, while mentoring engineering teams and ensuring security and compliance across domains.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's in CS, DS, AI or related field.
• 4+ years in AI/ML or Data Science.
• 3+ years Python hands-on with strong software practices.
• 2+ years Generative AI/Agentic AI experience.
• Hands-on with deep learning frameworks (PyTorch or TensorFlow).
• Expertise in large language models, prompt engineering, and fine-tuning.
• Proven track record deploying GenAI/Agentic AI projects into production.
• Strong background in data engineering, ETL, and data modeling.

Responsibilities

Required Qualifications

• 4+ years of total professional experience in AI/ML, Data Science, or related fields.
• 3+ years of hands‑on experience in Python with strong software engineering practices.
• At least 3 years of experience in AI/ML engineering, including 2+ years of hands‑on experience in Generative AI /Agentic AI.
• Hands‑on experience with deep learning frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow).
• Expertise in large language models (LLMs), prompt engineering, and fine‑tuning.
• Proven track record of deploying at least 3 GenAI/Agentic AI projects into production.
• Strong background in Data Science or Data Engineering, including data pipelines, ETL, and data modeling.
