Job summary

Novumgen is seeking a Finance & Account GM to oversee all financial and accounting functions, including planning, budgeting, reporting, and compliance. The role requires a hands-on leader who can drive strategic financial management for the company.

You will manage cash flow, tax compliance, ERP systems, and internal controls while mentoring the finance team and coordinating with external auditors across India and UK standards.

Qualifications

• Masters in Accounting or Finance or equivalent.
• Professional qualifications (CA/ACCA/ICWA/CPA) preferred.
• Experience with progressive responsibility and leadership in finance.

Responsibilities

Job Summary:

The Finance & Account Manager will be responsible for overseeing the financial and accounting functions of the company. This role requires a hands‑on approach to financial management, including financial planning, budgeting, reporting, and analysis. The Finance & Account Manager will also be responsible for ensuring compliance with accounting standards, tax regulations, and internal policies.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Planning and Analysis:

• Develop and maintain financial models to support business planning and decision‑making.
• Prepare annual budgets, forecasts, and financial projections in collaboration with senior management.
• Conduct variance analysis and provide insights to improve financial performance.

Financial Reporting:

• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports in accordance with GAAP (or relevant accounting standards).
• Ensure accuracy and integrity of financial data and statements.
• Present financial reports to senior management and stakeholders.

Cash Flow Management:

• Manage cash flow and liquidity needs to ensure the company's financial stability.
• Monitor cash flow projections and recommend strategies to optimize cash management.

Tax Compliance:

• Ensure compliance with tax regulations and filing requirements, including GST, TDS, Income Tax, VAT and Corporation Tax.
• Coordinate with external tax advisors to prepare and submit tax returns.
• Stay updated on changes in tax laws and regulations affecting the company.

Financial Operations:

• Oversee day‑to‑day accounting operations, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and general ledger.
• Implement and maintain internal controls to safeguard company assets and ensure accuracy of financial records.

Audit and Compliance:

• Coordinate annual audits with external auditors in compliance with India and UK auditing standards.
• Ensure compliance with audit requirements and address any audit findings or recommendations.

Financial Systems and Processes:

• Evaluate and improve financial systems and processes to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
• Implement best practices in financial management and accounting.

Team Leadership and Development:

• Supervise and mentor finance and accounting staff.
• Provide guidance and support to team members to foster their professional growth and development.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Masters in Accounting, Finance, CA, ACCA, ICWA, CPA or equivalent qualification preferred.
• years of experience in finance or accounting roles, with progressive responsibility and leadership experience.
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and financial analysis techniques.
• Proficiency in financial management software and MS Excel; experience with ERP systems is a plus.
• Strong knowledge of UK GAAP or IFRS and UK tax regulations.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Effective communication and interpersonal abilities, with the ability to interact with stakeholders at all levels.
• Detail‑oriented with a commitment to accuracy and integrity in financial reporting.
