Qualifications

Job Summary

J&A Business Group is looking for an experienced and result-oriented General Manager (GM) to lead and manage our Academy, Study Abroad, and Migration divisions. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overall business operations, revenue growth, team leadership, partnerships, student acquisition, and profitability.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the overall operations of the Academy, Study Abroad, and Migration divisions.


• Develop and implement business strategies to achieve revenue, sales, and growth targets.


• Drive student acquisition, counselling, admissions, sales, and conversion activities.


• Develop and maintain strong relationships with universities, colleges, institutions, and international partners.


• Lead business development activities for migration, visa, and work permit services.


• Manage Academy programs, student enrolments, operations, and profitability.


• Set departmental KPIs and monitor team performance.


• Lead and motivate Sales, Counselling, Marketing, Operations, and Documentation teams.


• Develop B2B, institutional, referral, and strategic business partnerships.


• Monitor leads, enquiries, conversions, revenue, collections, expenses, and profitability.


• Handle key client and student relationships and resolve escalations effectively.


• Identify new business opportunities and develop new markets and revenue streams.


• Coordinate with senior management and provide regular business performance reports.


• Ensure operational processes, customer service, and compliance standards are maintained.


• Analyse market trends and competitor activities to support business decisions.


• Build a high-performing team and ensure effective recruitment, training, and performance management.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Management, Education, or a related field.


• MBA is preferred.


• Minimum 8+ years of relevant professional experience, preferably in Study Abroad, Migration, Education, Visa Consultancy, Training, or related industries.


• Proven experience in business development, sales management, and revenue generation.


• Strong experience in managing and leading multi-functional teams.


• Excellent knowledge of student counselling, admissions, study abroad, and/or migration processes.


• Experience developing university, institutional, B2B, and strategic partnerships.


• Strong negotiation, communication, presentation, and relationship-management skills.


• Strong analytical, decision-making, and problem-solving abilities.
